I done it - my lasting memory of it will be the support from the locals in the towns. They were outstanding!
Crowds were superb from Deanston to Stirling. My 1st marathon doubt I'll do another 1. Managed to just sneak sub 4 at 3.59.47

Good deal after a marathon, you deserved it.
-
I missed the beer tent, managed to grab a can from a spectator pal.
-
Managed to miss the shuttle bus fiasco, running past finish line twice wasn't pleasant. The in and out of the site of spectators and runners at single point was a shambles. Folk ended up clambering over the wall.
-
Anyone do Stirling marathon? My 1st 1, thought the 1st half was quite tough.
-
Dunfermline have scrapped their U20 team.
-
It could only happen in Glasgow.

£800k for John McGinn tearing it up against Ayr and Dumbarton. Craig Sibbald is a better player.

Turns out the Alloa Half Marathon isn't the small local race I assumed it would be.
Highly recommended, it's a starting funnel away from being excellent.
It was a really good half marathon.

I hated running when I was younger, took it up about 5 years back and love it now. Suffered a bit with injury last year (a calf muscle tear in the autumn, then a groin strain in early December) but back into it now. Anyway so far I have the following lined up:
Devilla Forest 15k 19/2
Torrevieja Half 26/2
Lasswade 10 6/3
Gartmorn 6 12/3
Cartmel 10k Trail 18/3 and/or Loch Katrine Half 19/3 (not sure what I'm going to do about this yet)
Edinburgh Kilomathon 9/4
Playas del Pilar Half 23/4
Probably sign up for Loch Leven Half in May too.
How did Devilla go for you? Course wasn't as tough as last year.

How much did Gretna spend to make it to the top League in just 3 years?
What type of players did they sign (and on what wages?)
The Rangers should have used that model but I imagine that they were terrified of drawing Celtic in one of the Cups (or perhaps had a Cup win as a goal).
Even at the time, most could see that the flaw in their strategy was trying to do too much too soon.
Gretna were paying some of their players £2k a week in the 2nd division. Amazing the amount of folk that fell for the Gretna story.

Listened to it on Radio Scotland, sounded as though Rod was blotto.

Finlay MacDonald I think?...
I think it's Francis McDonald, he released a classical album last year.

How did you get on?
I was tempted, but couldn't afford to stay the night before after my trips to Berlin and the Slovakia game.
I was 1.49.12. We stayed at the lodges at Bagaduish, where the race starts. Would definitely recommend it.,

Apparently the Aviemore 10k today was ONE MILE short...
Aye it was, marshall hadn't got to their station, runners took wrong turn. It was my 1st half marathon, it was good course.

Are Kilmarnock still benefiting from the taxpayer bail out?

Well done - Are you planning on the full Fling next year?
Just now I'm more thinking towards my 1st marathon, quite fancy Stirling next May. See they've changed the entry criteria for The Fling.
-
Done my 1st Ultra on Sunday on Tiree. Really enjoyed it despite not having done much training for it, managed to get to the finish. Definitely would recommend it for folk who like doing them. Furthest I had ran before was 15mile leg of The Fling relay in April.

Another 1 putting club before country, was part of boozegate as well.

Sorry to hear.
It was harrowing to witness, the first injection didn't work because of a collapsed vein in her leg so it had to be done in her other one.

Took my folks to the vet today to get their wee Westie put to sleep. Cracking wee dog gave them lots of happy times.
