Spot on, our players are so fucking insular, as soon as Johnny Foreigner turns up and players are taken out their comfort zone they chuck it. It's part of the reason so few of our players play at an elite level.

The outrage of players when Deila tried to change the menu at Lennoxton. Over the years any foreign managers, that have tried to advise players to eat healthily, they always seem to get derided.  Thankfully it does seem to be changing now with younger players.

Newer ones have opened at SWG3 though.   Their sound is good, but I'm not keen on the long narrow layouts.   I've been in "Galvanizers" and the "TV Studio" so far.   Opeth didn't like the small stage however, and reminisced about the ABC.

Sound at the Barras beats the Academy hands down;  and beats the Hydro too unless you're standing in the middle there.   Getting to like sitting upstairs nowadays at the Academy when they open it.   Hydro seats are too far away.

I did get to SWG3 to see Pete Murphy & Daniel Ash doing In the Flat Field and was at yard for LCD Soundsytem gig. Defo good place for gig. Coming from Falkirk way it's a bit of a hassle getting there if you're not driving.

They’ve pinched other teams best players for peanuts for years, if they’d offered real value for McGinn & McKenna they would be a lot better now. They demand big money for their own players but low ball teams in Scotland, nobody to blame but their arrogant selves 😱

How do you stop big clubs in Scotland penny pinching players? It's been the same for years and the clubs have done nothing about it. Do you then deny players like Lewis Ferguson a move to a big club, just because the rules allow the transfer fee to be so low.

  4. Only listen to Radio Scotland, worst for me are Allan Preston & Billy Dodds. Michael Stewart used to be okay, this season just seems to want to argue with everybody.  Willie Miller is okay sometimes, Liam McLeod not good at all , ridiculous that Paul Mitchell got punted for him as main commentator. Richard Gordon good anchorman. Worst on TV is John Hartson.

Aye, sad to see him gone.

First saw Buzzcocks at an Anti-Nazi League rally in Manchester in '77. Next around '79 at a club in Sheffield and Joy Division were the support. Last saw 'em maybe 15 years back. Pete had put on the pounds - enjoying himself, I hope. Loads of good memories with Pete Shelley connections.

Early Buzzcocks using a riff that I guess had been left them by Howard Devoto - he used it again with Magazine's 'Shot By Both Sides':

Pete solo - colliding with early '80s sequencing; still toe-tapping though:

His '76 electronic/synth recordings Cinema Music & Wallpaper Sounds is superb. It finally got a release couple of years ago.

Said ages ago I think Lennon would be a great pick as manager but straight away you would have a large section of fuckwits who would be out to get him for their own twisted reasons.

As proved in the recent quarter final at Easter Road.
