The playoffs are in March 2020. Unless we win our last 2 games we are likely to be away in the first playoff tie should we win our group.
Two wins would give us 9 points which should be enough for a home playoff.
We should really be going for it in Albania. I hope McLeish doesn’t play for a draw.
Aye sorry I meant March 2020.

Looking ahead to the nations league play offs should we win the group and not qualify through the normal route, it appears according to Wikipedia (I know) that the draw will take place in November 2019 for the games in March 2019 and of the 4 teams in the hat the two with the best record get to play their semi final at home and there will be a toss of the coin following the semi final draw to decide which semi finalist will play at home in the final.

While I have absolutely no sympathy for Celtic, I suppose they do have a valid point. Why was it immediately decided they were the ones to go to Edinburgh.
It makes sense logistically and 99% of people had presumed it would be the one to move for that reason, so perhaps that’s all the SPFL need to say, Celtic just want to see their working...
Suppose the SPFL may think they will get higher overall attendances with playing the Hearts v Celtic at Murrayfield and Rangers V Aberdeen at Hampden.

It's Celtic. Of course they're whinging. Rodgers is at it already, claiming Hearts are getting an advantage.
Whinging away, it's the Celtic way.
A lot more of the current Celtic team have played at Murrayfield than the hearts team.

Hearts v Celtic 1.30 at Murrayfield
Rangers V Aberdeen 4-30 at Hampden

Hibs played St Johnstone at Tynecastle in 2016 semi.
one of 11 League semi finals not played at Hampden in the last 15 years.
-
They could move the Hearts v Hibs and Dundee v Celtic league games from the 31st to the 27th and 28th and then have the Hearts v Celtic semi on the Wednesday 31st at Hampden.
Neither Hibs or Dundee have a game scheduled now on the weekend of the 27th.

5 years ago now.
The last time I was in Scotland was for last year’s Slovakia game where if I remember rightly some ugly fucker fae Errol saw me inside Hampden. 😎
Ah did you catch up with Garvie

Errol is mair Perth than Dundee my good man. 😊
I’ll see Saints next year when I’m back in April.
Not the closest ground though, far more people in Errol support the Dundee teams.
that wasn't the question though, when were you last at a game?

If only we could get local lads to go instead of going to Edinburgh for their games.... 😁
Saints are not my 'local' team 😝
When was the last time you were at a game anyway 😁

Have yous Saints fans not had enough of Tommy Wright? Don't know how they've been playing week in week out but season after season seems very similar with not a lot happening. Not a manager I'd have anywhere near Fir Park.
He has had them punching above their weight for 5 years, 3 x 4th place finish, a 6th place and an 8th place finish, 4 european campaigns where they had some decent results, quite a few semi finals and winning their first ever trophy, a Scottish cup in 2014.
Considering the crowds they get i think its surprising he hasn't moved on to bigger and better things.
saying that hopefully they get pumped again this saturday, i do love a 5-1.

Sean Clare signs a 3 year deal at Tynecastle.

Naisy now stick on for us with griffiths on the bench
I would play them both.
Don't like Naismith on his own up front, has been so much more effective playing a bit deeper for Hearts this season and linking up with Uche and McLean
8 goals and 3 assists in 9 games, he is the main reason Hearts have got off to a flier this season.

I don’t need to Google it, he wasn’t in the squad.
Must have been a different Tony Watt that was in the squad

He never got a call up while he was at Hearts. His last call up and indeed when he made his debut was when he was at Blackburn for our Denmark/Czech friendlies.
He did, i remember there were three hearts players who travelled to Malta, Watt, Patterson and Hamilton.
Google it.

Might be better than him in two years time though, you don't bring guys over thirty in as third choice striker.
You bring the best players in that are available to you at the time.
Watt is having a purple patch, the last time he had a purple patch was when he signed for Hearts two years ago and was called up to the Scotland squad for the game in Malta. His purple patch soon ended due to his horrendous attitude and was out the door at the first opportunity.
Hope he has learned from his experiences and continues to knuckle down with St Johnstone.

I wasn’t basing it on just the St Mirren game. Hearts are top of the league and Naismith has scored 7 goals so far this season. I could be wrong and can’t be bothered looking into it but I think that might be more than Griffiths, McBurnie and Russell put together.
I haven’t seen that much of Hearts this season but when I have watched them Naismith looked pretty good.
His best is certainly behind him and he’s not a long term solution but I don’t have a problem with him providing injury cover.
A younger, better player would certainly be preferable but we’re pretty thin on the ground when it comes to those.
Naismith has been the stand out player this season for Hearts and is noticeably sharper than at the end of last season after a proper preseason.
strange call to bring him in after McBurnie pulling out as although he has been in amongst the goals he has been playing in midfield, often in a deep role.

Craig Levein letting it be known that John Souttar has an Australian granny...
CL was on the wind up.
He won't want Souttar playing for Australia, he is looking for him to get into the Scotland team so it would increase his value when he gets sold in 6-12 months time.

Around 5000 Hearts fans at EEP today, pretty fortunate to win the game 1-0, Bobby Zlámal pulled off three very good saves in the second half.

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. He might not be Paulo Maldini but our best centre half by some way. Our options are terrible. I would have been tempted to go Berra and Souttar for the club partnership.... Souttar this season has looked better but still a potential bombscare.
hendry... oh dear... miles away. McKenna injured... mulgrew? Maybe need to look at Liam Lindsay but he has not featured so far...
Since Souttar came back from injury last season he has been excellent alongside Berra. Be interesting to see how he fares in Berra’s absence having taken on the armband.
Still only 21 but seems to have cut out the brain farts that he was prone to in his teens.
Time for Eck to go already!

I would agree Clarke before any of them but I would much prefer a foreigner.
