  1. Don't mention it.

Great night last night. Well worth £32. Hope you enjoyed the TV.

See my latter post for a deeper insight into the ticket pricing.

Good for you, you must be very proud of yourself.

  2. GIRUY - missed a great night!

Very good, doesn't actually make any difference though, people are being extorted. I wish I was there but still feel the right decision was made in staying local to watch the game.

The short sightedness from the SFA will have an impact for years. I started going to games because my dad and my mates dad would take us as children and we carried on from that. The way the pricing is going the continuity of people taking kids and then their kida to games could be broken as they just can't afford it and you then have a generation not going to games.

  4. I'm gutted, this is only my 4th home game (including Georgia) in 14 years ill have missed; but well done to all the mugs who have now given the SFA the thumbs up to shaft us for years to come

  5. When I was a kid, I always used to cycle down Sinclair Street in Helensburgh and get up to 30-40mph before slamming on the brakes at the lights near the bottom. One day, on a whim, I went down Colquhon street instead. Now those of you who know Helensburgh, know that Sinclair Street is one uninterrupted long hill and has a lot of traffic, whereas Colquhon street is quieter and has give way signs at every junction.

Anyway, my brakes snapped at the first junction, but I was able to dig my heels into the verge and stop myself. Had it been Sinclair Street, I would still be eating my dinner through a straw.

Well that's me never going to cycle down there ever again! You would have likely ended up in Greenock.

  6. As much as it pains me I am not going to any of the home game qualifiers plus the England game. Still going to away games though as this looks like our best chance in years to make a major final.

I'm sorry but selective boycotting of games just isn't going to work - unrealistic for most I know, but the only way would to make a massive statement would be to boycott every home game.

  7. Been to about 25 away games now, and this one has probably been my favourite.

Loved everything about it; the Polish, the cheap drink, the stadium, the match!

We were last ones out of the stadium and were hanging about with the stewards getting freebies from the stadium food stalls! :wink2:

Got dropped off in the old town after the match and we were grabbed by about 8 local boys offering to take us to a nightclub, so followed them and we basically ended up at the Univeristy Freshers night, only Scotland fans in the place - it was mobbed! :guitar::love:

All in all, I'd love to play Poland again and wish them all the best in their remaining matches; apart from us at Hampden! :cheers3:
