Guy in my work went to Northern Italy for a long weekend (just last weekend there!), came back in on Wednesday and was sent home in the afternoon after telling the work where he'd been.
After consulting the Helpline they said as he hadn't been to any of the Category 1 areas and wasn't displaying any symptoms he should be fine.... but wait for it...... has volunteered to work from home for 2 weeks (after potentially smiting everyone in work).
Knob.

Never fear. One of the options is a bridge, leading to a tunnel, then back to a bridge.
No concerns at all, absolutely not.
To be fair, the Denmark-Sweden bridge is something similar to this.
What I've found strange so far is that no one has mentioned that bridge is directly on the route for Sumbarmine access to the Atlantic. Don't think the MOD would be happy about this?

Madras for me, anything hotter is an ordeal. I've eaten a few vindaloos but didn't really enjoy them.
I've recently taken up cooking my own as a hobby, dipping into these books -
Something called "phal" is mentioned. It uses Scotch bonnet chillis so must be fkin mental! Anyone ever tried it? I've never even seen this on any restaurant menu and I've been in dozens of Indian eateries. Ceylon is the hottest curry I've ever seen listed anywhere.
I bought the Curry Guy Cook book(the red one) and the food looks amazing, but the off putting bit is that a recipe may contain around 15 ingredients. However, each of those ingredients references another recipe within the book so it looks a bit of a faff. I know alot can just be bought (such as chill powder, Graham masala etc.), but it looks like you need to have a rath ere r large freezer as alot of the things are to be made in advance and used as required.
Will get round to doing one as they do look great though!

There seems to be a lot of unnecessarily bad designs around. Any good examples to get off your chest, or warn others to avoid?
Could be anything from design of clothes to cars...
For example
- When you try to switch on the TV, and the little LED flutters a bit, and appears to show it's turned on (green), and you go away but come back and find it hasn't turned on at all. Why can't they make a proper on-off switch?
- A phone that takes ages to boot up, but doesn't alert you when it is actually ready to use. Instead you have to wait and wait and keep checking to see if the darned thing is on. Meanwhile, later, it is making all sorts of unnecessary chimes and noises and alerts for things that are not important.
- Computers and screens (and all-in-ones) that don't have clearly visible on/off switch - where the designer has deliberately chosen to hide the switch so you can't find it.
And that's just turning things on and off. But you get the gist...
Similar issue, but I find it curious that when your phone has a low battery it flashes an LED, which ironically drains the power even quicker.

To be honest the 17th / 18th edition test is a piece of piss. It's not testing your Electrical knowledge, rather your ability interpret the Regs book. Don't think it cost more than £250 to sit at college.
The book and on site guide will probably cost you about £120 though.
It's the inspection and testing course that's the expensive and tough one that allows you to sign off installations and PAT. There's good money to be made in that.
Just checked.... Jeez, it's £480 to do at college. Would like to think that includes the books though.

Dumbarton almost signed Johan Cryuff in the 80s until he realised that the 1st Divison wasn't the Top League in Scotland. 😂

I've been using an app called Tvtap to stream most channels. It's pretty basic and you can't watch on demand but It does the trick for now.
Only problem I have is when I mirror from my phone to my Samsung TV, the brightness on the TV goes right down, while my phone or tablet remains the same. Can't find any settings on the TV to alter the brightness.... any ideas? Cheers

I've always said it.... Di Maria is utter junk, no idea how he has managed to play for top teams.

Gotta feel sympathy for Dumbarton. Last week their football team gets relegated and just when they think it canna get any worse the queen gives Harry the title of Earl of Dumbarton. Nae luck.
On the plus side, if they ever visit, then the council will need to cut the grass.

When did they lift the siege at Casterly Rock?

The series has changed and we have to kind of accept that I guess. its now lacking in a lot of detail but is making up for it to some degree with some pretty amazing and dramatic scenes. Just a shame it feels like it has lost some of its realism.
though when we are talking about dragons and white walkers that statement feels a bit daft.
I do still very much enjoy it, though feel it has lost it's edge since the books "finished". It's lost its shock and awe factor with killing off some of the major characters as no doubt HBO will be looking at how characters pull in viewers, which will have bearing in whether or not they stay in the series or not.

Going to post office and just getting five two hundred euro notes...
This story reeks I can smell it from fleet street all the way up here...
My exact thought too. I feel nervous using a £50 never mind €200.

We booked return flights from Edinburgh to Bergamo on the Saturday and back on the Tuesday - £75.
Hiring a car and driving to Ljubljana - around 4ish hours. We did this in 2005 and stopped off over in Venice for a day, was a great route.

Isn't it ironic, the Scottish vote now actually (to a large degree) matters at the UK level, and it is to prop up a Conservative government. .
How typically Scottish.

Depends on if you want a quick sale and if there are are a number of similar houses in the area for sale at the same time and how yours compare to theirs.
Are they taking a fixed rate for the sale or percentage of the sale? I'm thinking you are going to say the former.

This confirms, that the EU are deliberately weakening the UK's bargaining position, therefore there will no doubt be a similar meeting with regards to Scotland, which will blow the Unionists weapon of uncertainty out of the water next Referendum.

She is obviously pushing this before the real pain of Brexit is visible to everyone. Corbyn, would be wise to bloody her nose and embarass her by not supporting this in parliament, however would make him look afraid, which to be fair everyone knows anyway!

Looking at going with the wife and my 3 year old for a city break. Been through Skyscanner and Easyjet etc. and reasonable flights seems to be first week in September. Would this be a decent time to go with regards the weather and any events occuring?
Been looking at the accommodation and even airbnb, everywhere is very expensive, even the rundown places, that I wouldnt have a problem staying during an away trip, but looking for something a but better for the family. I've seen the Crowne Plaza is a decent price, but a bit out of town, near the airport. Is public transport decent for this area? Any other recommendations would be welcomed!
I've seen you can get the Copenhagen Tickets for around £75 an adult (72 hours), which looks great value as it includes transport, and admission to the zoo, Tivoli Gardens and Sea Life centre etc.
Thanks!

It wasn't a good night for anyone. That Kate Andrews, arrogant with an annoying voice. Paul Nuttall, is damaged good even for UKIP standards. The Labour wummin hardly uttered a peep. Len was full of clichés, but kept on grtting cut off by Dumbleby.
Ruth is very arrogant these days, and dod anyone hear her say "Love" to one of the other women on the panel? Sexist if you ask me.

Giles Fraser is a cvnt. That is all.

I'd presume if it's a used car under 3 years old, it would come with warranty until it reaches 3 years?

The first half of IT was terrifying. I remember being about nine or ten, just finished watching it when the MCB downstairs light tripped out. Whilst my Old man was trying to reset the breaker my brother and his mate were at the front and back of the house banging the windows chanting "ITs at the window, IT's at the window.
Still scarred to this day.

I feel for the School staff. Wife got an email from the school today at lunchtime detailing what group and days (2 per week) my Daughter would be in school and then another email about protocols, detailed information etc.... fast forward 3 hours and the announcement of full 5 day return of School.
