  1. If anyone thinks this now a appropriate anthem to represent our country, they're living in cloud cookoo land. Quite rightly, the England fans will probably be p*ssing themselves laughing if we're belting this out in November

  2. Element of truth in this

Westminster vows never to allow vote on anything that matters ever again

MPs have pledged that voters will never again be given the power to actually change anything.

Following a terrifying surge in political engagement in Scotland, Westminster is determined that all future votes will be the usual choice between three men built by Marks and Spencer.

House of Commons Speaker, John Bercow, said: “An 84 per cent turnout, rallies in the streets, and intelligent, informed debates are all the stuff of nightmares.

“By some dreadful miscalculation the future of this nation was, for a brief time, in the hands of the people who live in it.

    “Never, ever again.”

Cross-party talks are already taking place to ensure all further choices offered to the public are so utterly meaningless that voter turnout will nestle comfortably in the low 40s.

Nick Clegg, the self-styled deputy prime minister, said: “Thank God the Scots are so institutionalised.

“Well done, my tiny, red-haired friends.”

  3. By smaller party's do you mean the greens Conservative or the Scottish Socialist party?

I think the SNP are the proverbial dead duck party now and Scotland should sweep them aside and look to a more forward thinking party to unite us.

And what party would that be? Luckily, win or lose, Scotland has party in government that looks after Scotland's interested first. The other three looks after their own interests and that will now continue as usual

  4. The big problem or reason he is not being picked is because he cannot lead the front line. By this I mean he will score goals feeding off of his co-striker or poaching goals in the box. His game is NOT about holding the ball-up upfield until support arrives and developing attacks from there which is the type of striker Strachan is looking for in certain matches a la V Germany. He may very well be involved in future squads in this campaign though say versus Gibraltar where we are likely to start with two strikers upfront.

The thing is, it's great to have different options if things aren't going our way and he's a different option. It's just worrying when the squads are named, he seems to be completely frozen out

  5. Part of Burgess's DR interview, so a load of bullsh*t really;

Burgess has been involved with the Under-20s squad at the ADO Den Hagg Youth tournament in Holland and is adamant his dual nationality hasn’t diluted his passion for Scotland.

Grandfather Campbell Forsyth won four Scots caps as a keeper in the 1960s and Burgess is thrilled to follow in his footsteps and pull on the famous dark blue jersey. He said: “I have an Australian
passport as I have been there for a while. That’s what I consider myself to be.

“At the moment I’m just enjoying my football. I’ve always wanted to play for Scotland and I’m happy to be chosen.

“Until anything changes then I’m happy and I don’t want to think about it too much. When I was a kid I went to just about every Scotland home game with my dad.

“I loved seeing all the great fans at Hampden and to be a part of that was amazing. We went to a few qualifiers and I remember watching James McFadden scoring that famous goal against France in Paris on TV.

  6. Tim Martin was on this morning being asked about why Weatherspoons are bucking the trend by being a successful pub chain. He was then asked that because they plan to open up more pubs in Scotland, would independence affect that.

He basically went on a rant about how we could be a successful economy, cited the likes of New Zealand, Singapore and Sweden and then said there has been loads of rubbish spouted from some big businesses and politicians to put people off a yes vote. He then even got in a further dig towards Westminster that hopefully an independent Scotland would have a fairer VAT system for pubs that the likes of supermarkets enjoy.

The business presenter looked quite stunned and then had to say it was nice to hear different opinions about the referendum :-))

  7. Have to listen to this joker every morning at work. Whilst all the opinion polls were pointing to No, he's never mention the validity of those polls. Now that they are changing to yes, this morning he can't shut up about them.

He's now saying how can you make sure they are valid and he even had a you gov person on just now. He said to him he was concerned that the polls might not represent the opinion on the Scottish people as they are only based on a few hundred.
