We all want it to be good news. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'd rather you were correct but the UK gov site has a recent history of carrying out of date info.

But unless I'm not reading it correctly the restrictions dont seem to be that bad do they ? Pubs and stuff all seem to be open ?
Bars, restaurants etc will shut at 10pm or 11pm depending on the venue. I don't what differentiates between the two closing times.
I do remember plenty TA getting on the spot fines by the police last time for various trivial "offences". The amounts were very small so nobody made a fuss. I can see plenty on the spot covid fines this time 😎

I think that 500 then got halved when they introduced restrictions. And they never got their allocation confirmed til about 14 days before the game.
Good article here: https://www.fordanmark.dk/herrelandsholdet/nyheder/darligt-nyt-fra-moldova/
Denmark were initially given 520 tickets which was then reduced to 330.

Anyone know what Moldova is like currently with regards to Covid?
My flights got messed about but planning to rebook. Don't know if it's worth it if restaurants and bars will be closed.
Virus is on the rise and only a very low percentage of the population vaccinated. I'd imagine they don't test anywhere near the numbers we do so their actual figures are likely to be worse than being reported.
Keep in mind that their population is only around 2.6m with the rogue state of Transnistria not included.

Except seen somewhere else on here that the danish only got 500 tickets. Less than 3000 attendance in a 10,000 capacity stadium.
I really am torn whether to gamble and book.

We're used to picking players from the Second tier of English football, and that was embarrassing enough, but to be in a position where we have to pick players from the English third tier. I think that's just a step too far for me.I don't blame Steve Clarke. He can only pick what's there. I don't blame our players, either, it's not their fault they generally aren't very good. I blame the domestic football clubs in Scotland as well as the SFA. It's clear that we aren't producing good players. We haven't had a real stream of top players since the what, 70's/80's. In the 90s the talent was drying up, but we still have players of the calibre of Colin Hendry, John Collins, Paul Lambert, Barry Ferguson, etc. Below that we produced players like Durie, Gallagher, Burley, etc. Who are our secondary players now? O'DonnellEach squad announcement is more soul destroying than the last.Scottish domestic clubs and the SFA as well as the entire footballing system have to be accountable for this. It's alright people saying "Scotland is a small nation. Do you expect us to produce world class players?". No. I really don't. I except us to produce good players who play at a top level and who are good enough to navigate successfully through a qualification campaign. That isn't too much to hope for. I'm not exactly reaching for the stars with that one.And the "Small nation" thing makes for a cute argument. Doesn't really cut any mustard when you look at the nuts and bolts, though. Denmark has about the same population as Scotland. Didn't stop them from winning Euro '92. As well as being 13th in the world. Croatia are smaller than Scotland by 2 million and yet they produce players that play for Inter Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, etc. As well as getting to a World Cup final and they're ranked 7th. Switzerland have 3 million more people than us, 11th in the world. I'm not even going to mention Uruguay who have 3.5million population and yet they won the World Cup twice and are 5th in the word... oh wait... I just did. Hell, even Northern Ireland and Wales are in the top 30. With ROI just out of the 30.There are so many apologetics within Scottish football, from the SFA, to the clubs and even to actual Scotland supporters. It's sickening. It's as if literally no one within the realms of Scottish football wants the national team to Improve. The SFA don't bring in a home grown rule because the clubs wouldn't like to be held responsible for having to coach their kids to a decent standard, and because the clubs pretty much vote in members of the SFA, such a rule will never happen.I've never been more embarrassed being a Scotland supporter of almost 30 years. For me it's a tipping point. I stopped buying official merchandise about 6 years ago. The next step is stop going to matches.Read it and weep:Goalkeeper: 1 from English Championship, 2 English from League One.Defenders: 2 from EPL, 3 from English Championship and 2 from SPL.Midfield: 6 from EPL and 4 from SPL.Strikers: 1 from EPL, 1 from English Championship, 1 from SPL and 1 from MLS.
Just like all the "anglos" from the 70s and 80s. hopefully those successful times are just around the corner again - yippee!

Got a mate who’s a staunch Rangers fan, been to numerous Scotland games with me over the years. The last few years he’s completely turned his back on Scotland, refuses to give the SFA any money until there’s a regime change. I think it’s mainly bitterness about what happened to Rangers and I’ve pointed out how a large percentage of the Scotland support aren’t fans of the SFA either. He’s mentioned to me that Rangers players have been booed playing for Scotland, namely Ryan Jack, Ian Black and Lee Wallace.
If I’m correct, Ryan Jack was booed when Scotland played a game at Pittodrie, presumably due to the fact he left Aberdeen for Rangers.
I think Ian Black was booed as a protest against Craig Levein selecting him as people didn’t think he was anywhere near international class regardless of the club he played for.
Lee Wallace?
As I’ve pointed out to my mate, in all these cases (or at least the ones I’m aware of) they were only ever booed by a tiny minority as most Scotland fans would never boo any Scotland player.
Anybody want to enlighten me if I’m wrong?
the booing to Ian Black was more that he had played for Hearts and the match was at Easter Road. but you're also correct that he was nowhere near international standard and it was another example of Levein's stubborness by bringing him on needlessly in the last minute of a friendly.
i cannot remember Wallace getting booed.
Jack was booed at Aberdeen who were likely bitter that he'd left them for Glasgow.
Brian McClair and Gary McAllister were two players i remember getting regularly booed in the 80s and 90s. McClair probably because his international form never reached his club form and McAllister probably caused he missed that penalty.

Not one of us would say "I hope not" if I asked if we're being picked. Every single one of us would would cite it as the pinnacle of our career and we'd give every last drop of sweat.
but he wasn't asked if he was being picked. he was asked "if he was going away". that could have been to anywhere - the pub, the lappies, the jail, the moon, the afterlife....................
folk (not referring to you personally hear so dinnae fret) are looking for a stick to beat him with as the anti-english feeling around this player is very strong in this thread.

Can anyone help need 2 spaces on a bus to go to the game on 6 th September from dundee
a few from Dundee here: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scotland/supporters-tickets/supporters-buses/

Took my form, passport, invitation and photo in to the Edinburgh place today. There were two folk in front of me but I only waited about 5 mins. Once I was seen I was only in for another 10 mins.
They're getting about a dozen a day she said and about 1 in 10 applications has a mistake that needs taken back and rectified (dates don't match invitation, no photo etc.)
They couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful.

Yes you can as the Faroe Islands is an independent country. FIFA representatives have previously warmed to a GB Team. The most appealing part is that it would shrink the GB seats on IFAB from 4 to 1.
-
Once the four teams are known in November I'd have liked to have seen a draw so that one of the four participants hosts the semis and final. That way there would be no panic for getting to the destination for the final.
it does potentially surrender home advantage for the two top seeds, of which we'd be one.

Or perhaps a different SSC for those who wish to follow the ladies team. SFA could have two membership fees for those that follow both. Money to be made for sure.
-
have you tried using the ATAC guide that has been road tested?

SSC only sell to members. why not join for the reduced price?

What's the best way of getting a ticket for the game if you're not a member of the SSC?
I'd like to sign up in the future, but all memberships expire 31st December, so I don't think it's worth the price at the mo.
join the SSC at the current reduced rate.

Surely it will go down to loyalty points though
I'd fully expect that as that's the purpose of the loyalty points. What I meant is that not every SSC member will get a ticket. There will be folk who think they're guaranteed a ticket for Hampden that don't realise our allocation is much less than a home match.

It's in the rules , it's not advisory . They're choosing to ignore it , whether they'll get fined or whatever who knows . Doesn't help us though
Russia met the 120 criteria. They had to inform UEFA by that date. Fines in football are meaningless and if you ask football administrators they'll say it's more a gentlemen's agreement in spite of it being in the competition rules.
-
If so then it'll be interesting so see the prices for the 2022 campaign.
-
If we qualify we'llget an allocation as a competing nation. I'd expect this to maybe be around 20 to 25% and our opponents will have a similar allocation available.
This means no guarantee of a ticket for SSC members as we are technically not at home and there won't be an allocation big enough.
Some tickets will be available for fans in the stadium's country - Scotland in our case. The remainder will be via sponsors and gravy train riders. I can't wait to see them try and shift £165 tickets for a Scotland match!
My understanding was that tickets via the UEFA website could be cancelled once fixtures are announced. We'd need to check the tournament rules to confirm.
