You are absolutely correct. I f*cked up.   I had it all written down correctly, but when I posted on here I accidently listed 1st 2nd and 3rd positions as 1st 2nd and 3rd of July    That said, I was correct in saying the 2nd round doesn't start until the weekend AFTER Stuttgart/Hungary (there are no matches during 'the working week' following the Hungary match).

    From UEFA.com...

Wasn’t a dig! Just didn’t want anyone diving in. Lol

In case anyone thinking of booking this is not accurate. If we win the group or are 2nd. We would play on Saturday the 29th in either Berlin (2nd in group)  or Dortmund if (1st in group! . If we are one of the best third qualifiers its then all over the place.

If 3rd it’s either Cologne Sunday, Frankfurt Monday,  or Munich Tuesday! Long way to go before we have to worry about this 🤔!

For us, I believe it would be one of these...

    1 JULY - DORTMUND

    2 JULY - BERLIN

3 JULY - COLOGNE, FRANKFURT or MUNICH

After Stuttgart/Hungary, how are you's gonna play it?

Is there any real reason why folk are buying train tickets just now and not waiting for the January 17th release of cheap tickets. Not trying to be funny but just wondering if i am missing something.Cheers.

My thoughts are. There are a lot of eye watering fares on some of the routes I’ve looked at around game days. The whole German rail system seems to work on looking at potential demand and days of travel. Eg Fridays look dearer than other days throughout the whole year. So day of travel could skew your price. Also if you’ve already got at least 25,000 Scotland fans all looking to get from Munich to Cologne between games in addition to normal travellers, there is no way that everyone will get on trains at the times and/or at the cheap prices that everyone would like. Some of the fares released so far are also in to the €29 and €39 price ranges. So why not buy? In addition only 2 tickets can be bought with each match ticket and you get automatic seat reservations with these. (The tickets I’ve bought in the last week with automatic reservations don’t allow you to choose your seats but allocate you an unchangeable seat). It may then be a bit more hassle for bigger groups to get organised to buy tickets and also to get everyone to sit together on the train  unless the system allows  you to book multiple Euro 2024 train tickets together in one transaction and/or allow you to choose seats.

Been reading this review https://onemileatatime.com/deutsche-bahn-ice-first-class-review/ seems you get very little for your first class ticket.

If your only paying a small premium on the 2nd class fare the extra space especially if you’ve luggage in busy trains is probably worth it. I’ve 2 trains booked one of 4 hours first class booked, 2nd one an hour journey just booked 2nd!

Just off the phone, the ticket never materialised , but the payment pending went through.

Had to re-book and keep an eye out for refund within 7 days.

Download the app! Works well and tickets held there!

    cheers

On sale in both places but only until June 16th. Will move + 1 day each day! I’d book direct with deutchebahn!, rather than the  Trainline! The first 2 trains I booked were simple everything  in English, and tickets directly available on their app immediately on booking!!

  8. Heres an option one way to Munich day before the game from London that’s still cheap and not too ridiculous a journey. Can’t book train for another few weeks but train detail  is from 2 weeks before and likely to be identical times and prices.

With airlines all cashing in on football fan’s booking immediately after the draw, are flight prices likely to go down over the next couple of months?
just trying to decide if I need to find the usual crazy routes I see people post or hold out in the hope that flights become more reasonable.

Based on a bit of booking and travelling low cost airlines will usually find a level after a big demand like has happened. However if there are only a few seats left it won’t fall that much from current prices! Not so sure about the more mainstream carriers! Obviously the other thing to do is look at countries that haven’t qualified and go via there!

Given we have 1, possibly 2, away games before then you'd presume pointe will be recalibrate to take into account those games and the new threshold.

You could be looking at 16+ being required.

Imagine the uproar when the 2nd away friendly is to Nepal 😂

That’s a good point re the points and 2 upcoming away games! Hadn’t even considered that! Interesting.

  11. I think the pricing structure the problem here more than the points distribution. It’s not our fault we were drawn in position A2. National associations should have been given their tickets for this game at the same prices as all other group matches. It’s gonna have to one helluva opening ceremony to justify the €400 price difference in the top price category!!

I'm a fairly high pointer, but I've no problem with the how the SSC went about it.

As others have said, we're guaranteed tickets; we're not guaranteed the cheap tickets.

As I said the other day, this wouldn't even be a discussion if the tickets were priced €30, €50, €70 and €90

UEFA are to blame for the worry and upset caused. Not the SSC.

I’m a high pointer and don’t have any problem with the way these tickets allocated at all.

The main reason why is because I got Fans First for all 3 games!! 😜

IMO too big a risk to take. In time, you'd think the SSC/UEFA would check through bookings and see tickets match the names of those who codes were sent to.

Would be a real shame if their tickets got cancelled....

I’m not sure that under data protection law that UEFA would be privileged to share that personal data with the SFA without having our express consent. (Which we may have given when signing up). Also UEFA would need to cancel the ticket. To be honest can’t see them going to the bother of going through 30,000 ticket sales.

Thought you had to have the same email address on your SSC and UEFA account?

Could be left in the lurch if UEFA send out an activation link ( if they do that) for the tickets to the boys email address and he conveniently forgets to activate the tickets.

Based on Euro 2020! An email will come from UEFA and you go in to the ticket app and the ticket based on the email address you used in the UEFA portal to buy will magically appear.  SFA have no input in process.

    It does work.

A friend of a friend sold his wee guys codes (he was on 12 points) to a non SSC member for £300.

They set up their Uefa account and ordered 3x fans first tickets fine with the codes.

I seriously hope you’re on the wind up with that! That’s despicable! If he gave them for nothing I could understand why you might do that for a mate! Hope the guy who sold them loses his phone on the day of the game and he can’t get in!

Would you happen to know, if you buy checked in luggage would you just pick it up in Munich or would you need to collect it and check it in again in Brussels ? The 2 outgoing flights are both with Brussels Airlines but i booked on the Lufthansa website. I think Lufthansa own Brussels Airlines.

    Booked right through!
