See my previous post. If you have large numbers let the system allocate your tickets. Then you can pop how many of each category you want and move the tickets around after it’s allocated them.

I accept that but it depends on what they see as best pick! I’d rather be at the back and to the side than down the front in the middle!

The system is totally fine. It's a queue followed by selecting tickets of which there are plenty to go round. There was a booking guide showing you what to do too. Not their fault people don't read it then complain at half 10 on the day.

Can I ask if you bough any Senior or Junior tickets at all!?

SSC now put a screenshot to answer the OAP / kids discount issue.

I had the guidance last  night and reviewed it in detail,  but it wasn’t that easy when. A. You’ve been in a waiting room for 40 minutes. B. You’re trying to buy 9 tickets! C. You’ve already had 10 goes to choose seats and every time you’ve attempted to add to cart, it says no longer available! D. You’ve also got the potential your payment may fail (history of that previously) E. loads of folk posting they’ve still got the black line of doom and at least 30 mins from getting into ticket site.Had tickets  in basket so bought with alternatives being reduced by the second, then hope the SFA see that the system is slightly more complicated for a first time user (under pressure)than for those  in their office who  have been beta testing for 3 months at their leisure!!

Yeah so as you add tickets they line up at the bottom of the screen signified by a ticket icon. From that list of tickets you can select one and then the dropdown menu is appropriate to that ticket so you can amend. We have one concession out of 13 in our group and it took me a couple of efforts to sort and then you hit add to cart

    It shouldn’t be that complicated!!’

Hard to trust anything that cant get even a simple message right

"The Scottish FA Ticket Shop opens at 9am. 10:00."

Well this has been easy so far! Sitting watching a black line going across at 1cm every 5 minutes!! lol

Re Points being wrong on transfer - ours are out because the "loyalty point" has not been recognised.

Also just logged in to check all family are tied to my account (they were last night but who knows today!) and there is a 10min queue in place already! Even if you aren't going to the ticket page you need to wait to log in - FFS!!

Most  major ticketing sites have a wait room. It means once your in less likely for transaction to fail which is even more annoying than waiting in a queue!

I dont think the prices are that bad , everything has gone up in price massively and there is not much you can get for £30-£35 quid these days . A bag of Bombay Mix has gone up fookin 45% .

Based on these prices it’s a fair price!!

Re the last euros, I can recall ticket not being activated until I was within the vicinity of the stadium on matchday.

So how are the secondary ticket sites going to distribute tickets???

You are correct, but validating is the final process, if you have a UEFA non SSC bought ticket you firstly transfer it to another person. They then arrive at the ground and go through the validation purpose, for themselves using their own App and individual Logon.

To seriously answer the question. Just back from a long weekend in Toulouse with my schoolmates watching Toulouse vs Bath.

One of my mates had an empty travel credit card. We just bashed everything on the card then split it once we got home.

Food wise we all ate breakfast and had dinner. (Missed lunch and had lager instead).

We have used Revolut for a good number of years now. Download app and order a card for free. Good conversion rates. £150 a month free cash withdrawals and £1,000 a month free debit card type transactions for each card year. Top up instantly when you need it from your main bank account, built in security to freeze card, turn on /off chip and pin and/or contactless through the app. Plus the split a bill function is fabulous! Once you pay a bill decide who you’ve to charge in your group and it will automatically split the bill equally to each of them! If someone drinking more slowly or god forbid eating. You just adjust for that person before sending.  It then automatically recalculates the remaining balance equally! Their individual split bill is automatically forwarded to all in group that have been charged. They go in to App accept charge and credit immediately back to the charger! It’s been great for our group.

Given the timeframes involved too, i think it'll be a free for all again for all eligible members. Realistically you would be buying tickets on the Monday for the following weekend.

I’m not as convinced. Whilst I agree that the timeframe is tight. I can’t see us not easily selling 6,000 tickets for the next round. There are so many ways to get to Germany, air, rail and road make it easily accessible. Secondly school holidays will have started so potentially that group and other folk who couldn’t go to the first phase might go for a one off experience. Another factor which could affect it could be the opponents, if eg as could happen we get England in the 1/4 finals you’ld sell 20,000+ tix. Let’s hope we find out!!!!   🤞

These friendlies could determine whether you get a last 16 ticket or not.

I'll be going to both aways 👍

On a more serious note both Holland and Gibraltar will have a big impact on any getting tickets for any further games that we qualify for in Germany. Mainly because the ticket allocation falls by a fair way for the next phase of games to 6,000 last 16, again 6,000 1/4 final, then up to 7,000 semi final and finally back to 10,000 for the final. I would imagine that the next 2 games will be 100% individual person pick up!!

Will they! They should be but will the points be added!! Mmmm

Think so, they let me have a flight from Stansted to Bonn (instead of Baden Baden) for no extra cost yet that flight was 5 times the price of my original, was on the same day tho. I had to phone tho the app was useless

Yes I think that would be fine to change. Re contacting them. It can be a bit of a faff but you can beat the system by confusing the virtual chatbot. When you are going through the chatbot questions either do not answer or ignore them or where they make it compulsory to put something in just put a random letter in. As they haven’t got any answers to your query it will fairly quickly move you in to the queue to speak to an online agent rather than a virtual one.

  14. If they agree to change the Cologne flight to the earlier one I personally would considering ditching the other flight. I’m assuming you’re flying back to Scotland that day from Stansted. If so there are some not too bad basic fare prices, eg lunchtime to Edinburgh for £26 with Ryanair and £34.99 with EasyJet back of 3 to Glasgow.

  15. 12 minutes ago, PaisleyBuddie said:

Indeed. If we are offered that early flight it arrives in Stansted 11.5 hours before our connecting flight!!!

You won’t be offered you’ll need to ask! They’ll just tell you of the amendment and you will need to go chasing the change.

Anyone else booked on the Ryanair flight from Cologne to Stansted on 20th June?

When I booked it in December the flight was departing at 1640. Having recently checked the Ryanair app it has changed to 1855 meaning I'll miss my connecting flight from Stansted to Glasgow.

I haven't received any notification from Ryanair about the change of departure time. Anyone else on this flight and have you had a notification from Ryanair?

Bit of a bummer but normal practice with Ryanair. Had this a few times where I’ve  clocked the change before they officially tell you. You will get an email at some point soon advising you of it unfortunately. You should be able to change to the earlier flight in the day if you contact through their live chat it’s a bit early in the morning that one mind you.

Was hoping the home friendly would be a Saturday instead of a Friday. I’m fast running out of holidays and that’s not even including the Nations League fixtures to be determined later this year.

Although staying locally always look for a wee overnight in Glasgow as part of a home game! Unfortunately must be quite a few other things ongoing that night in the area as being quoted minimum of  £150 and much much higher per 2 person room for one night. Shame for those that do need to travel from further afield!

That's the same 2 journeys i have already booked. Both because you are booking well in advance turn out cheaper than the euro 24 tickets that go on sale on Wednesday. They did say that certain journeys would turn out cheaper because you are booking well in advance than the euro 24 ticket. It certainly was for me. 👍

I’ve just checked on the DB app and on the 16th to Cologne from Munich there really is nothing under 50€ available that day now even in 2nd class unless you’re going before breakfast or arriving after midnight! It will be interesting to see what’s available once the Euro tickets are available! There are spaces on trains so would like to think that some cheaper tickets will be allocated to these trains! Perhaps they may have the ability to  limit them to a certain number per train.

I’m flying home then back out as it’s maybe 6 days.

IF we make the last 16 I’ll stay for the quarters and fly home again.

And if we make the semi then… I’m fucked.

Perhaps we should just skip the preliminary 3 warm up games and just have booked for the business end of the tournament!
