final
in TA specific
Did anyone else book with Transvia.? They are also trying to insist on a voucher, closed their service centre and were communicating through WhatsApp, that is until you point out eu regulations regarding refunds and suddenly they stop replying. 🙄
Now I see they've altered their policy to give a refund but only if you don't use the voucher in the next 12 months. It's only 50 euro but I'd rather it in my pocket and not wait a year for it.
Booked the return leg with Air Serbia and refund was in bank within 7 days no problem..

I reasoned I’d be well pished come 21:00 on the Friday and didn’t want to lose my tickets or more importantly interrupt the sesh.
Good to see you were able to live up to your own expectations. 😉
You couldn't spell ticket let alone pick one up on Friday 😂

Not sure if it is a big jump.
My 3 points were Wembley, Ireland and Gibraltar (Poland & Germany had just dropped off) and I'm sure a lot of those on 3pts were like myself who were waiting to see if this would be a big game before booking (last few campaigns have scunnered me).
I know that's the case in my group of mates.
Same as that, with almost 1400 on 3 points I reckon most people would of been trying bang on 12..

Hadn't seen this documentary piece before. Different times.
It would be great to have a player of his stature now.
Great little documentary. Here's a piece from a few years ago, apparently his father was from Orkney...

For anyone coming over next weekend and a fan of craft beer and whisky, there is a festival on in the RDS (big hall next to ground where Leinster play and only a 10 min walk to Aviva).
www.irishbeerandwhiskeyfestival.com
Tickets are a tenner but a 2 for 1 offer is available using the code THEIRISHTIMES.

That all said, I love Cardiff on a rugby day.
J
Hope it's better than Cardiff on a football day.!!

You don`t know of any spare tickets by any chance? I should have had one but it`s fallen through. Definitely heading over, flight is booked
Keep checking ticketmaster.ie regularly. Returns are quite often put on sale there but they sell quickly.

Any Tambers been on this one?
Many many times, was born and brought up on a Papa Westray...

This problem is so common now with Loganair they told me they had taken on extra staff to deal with all the claims.
Anyway, after a couple polite emails and about a 9 week wait, 250 euro compensation per passenger was paid..

Not a bad lad. Apparently the players are all bitching about each other too - sounds a total shambles
Let's hope it continues. With England ranked 8th and us 9th and the world cup draw next year, the 6 nations will be huge.
Would be great if we could knock them from 2nd to 3rd seed..

Can the data be uploaded to Strava?
AFAIK yes, I have the Garmin 500 on my Christmas list.
Try to get out every 2nd/3rd weekend or as much as I can get away with. It's like planning Scotland matches as disappearing for 5 hours on a weekend morning doesn't always go down too well.!
Try to do 3 or 4 sportives over the summer also, done Ring of Kerry last 2 years, 170+kms with over 11000 cyclists, great day out..

Anyone with balls to leave it till last minute could now pick up cat A tickets for 100 quid on viagogo.
-
Got row 6 in the upper so shouldn't be too bad. Remember being the very back row for the 4-0 humping a few years ago.
Add on the 8 pound overseas postage and suddenly 2 £65 tickets is almost a 150 quid..
-
45 minutes in the queue. Eventually get Cat B, upper tier behind the posts. Which makes me wonder where the cat D were, in the car park watching a big screen.!!

Came off last night with which looks like dislocated finger, getting tests done today..

I was in Tbilisi until Tuesday morning, I've had a sore head since Sunday, just not clearing up, completely overdid it last Saturday night
I'm off the drink for the rest of the month
Was that you drinking bottles of Chacha in the Hanger bar on Saturday.?
-
Came through there last night - they took Euros - can't say anything about the exchange rate though. As you come upstairs from the transit security check, there's a smallish bar straight ahead of you. Head away from that towards the higher number gates and there's a bar/cafe called Gourmet - smallish portion of grilled chicken and potatoes and large Ukrainian beer was 11 euros. Heading towards the lower number gates, there's another small bar. That seemed to be about it - though there's duty free shops. Bear in mind that there's no free in flight service on UIA - e.g. small bottle of wine is 3 euros.
How much were the pints in the airport.?
-
I'm sure they will accept those at an extortionate exchange rate and give you change in local currency. Why not use your card each transaction or find an ATM.
-
It kicks off 22:45 local time so plenty time to get back to bar and watch it.
