suspect the mods have moved on in their lives and dot want to run something like this anymore
been no evidence of them for months and appetite probably dried up
The thing is though the Mods must know some of the regular posters on here, so they could have made contact to see if anyone wanted to take it on if this is just because their appetite has dried up

I probably use the non-TA parts of this board more so than I use the TA bits, unless going to an away game then I will have a browse round the away forum for any info. The national team forums are usually the last ones I visit.
Same here, but they are by far the most important. Yeah a lot of good info can come from the "Other Stuff" part of the board but the best purpose for the board for me is the away info

There's been very little Mod activity, from what I could see anyway in the past months

We quite liked it and whilst not exactly rocking at night, some decent places to eat and get a few drinks etc
We were the 'other' group there, we spoke as you were waiting for your pal to fly in

As you say a tad quiet at night but it's not like you'd of thirst, still pubs open till 0200 which was probably late enough
Beer was honking tho
But, did you go on the dodgems?

I somehow ended up being a mod on that one!
How can you be a mod on both at the same time?

It was always going to happen when brilliant posters like myself & Andreimack stopped winding folk up.
TBH I chucked it because the place was full of s arguing about the same shite over and over and over.
I'd like to think I contributed to the Tamb during its heyday before the s took over.
I'm glad to say I've met some great people that I can call friends and some other s too!!!
The good times outweighed the bad times but after all these years I never did get to see Tartan Teddy's winky.
Use this Fred to post your Tamb memories and try and keep it lighthearted ffs so the board can go out with some dignity.
Peace out troops
PS
I was Mod11
Mind years ago that glasgowredz guy set up an alternative board when folk were getting banned all over the place, do you think there's any chance he could reactivate it?

? no, definitely not.
As far as the tamb goes, it's a worse place without FE and Lamia.
I agree - that's why I asked & I don't think Jim posts on here

Charlie Endell is my fave poster on here.
Knows a good boozer, likes his nags and like myself, lives in Glasgow and doesn't support the old filth.
1 hour ago, Squirrelhumper said:Aye, he was some man. Actually sad writing that as he's still with us but he's a poor soul.
We had a few mutual friends, one being Gary Holt. I could tell you umpteen stories about him int he players lounge at Norwich, Killie and Forest fully kilted up!
See if it wasn't for one being a Tory & one being SNP, I'd be asking questions

There's one male and one female who are still active that I dislike, think he is an attention seeking twat, and she is a stupid bint who spouts shite as fact, then denies being wrong.
Are they a couple????

I hope that stuff isn't monitored at my work or i am fecked
It is in our work - I'm fine though, I'm the one that monitors it

787 sold as of this morning so, 443 left for the 498 7 pointers so far ??
We're still running under the 100% of 10 etc, so looking good for a few 6 pointers I would say but only a few & you'd need to be quick ??

Cheers, but I can't help thinking that my complete lack of interest in Scottish football might disqualify me.

TAMB CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT

Further to the Closure Announcement
By Admin4
09/08/2017
Since announcing the closure, a number of questions have been asked.
This is not a "boot in the arse" to Board members to increase traffic.
It’s worth pointing out to any people wanting to take on the TAMB that they will quickly outstrip any “free” message board system. That’s what happened with the pre-2003 TAMB and also happened during the “current TAMB” in 2003 – 2004. hence the "high" cost of keeping the Board going.
It’s all about the number of concurrent users online. At a point yesterday there were about 150 users online – Invision would be charging $130 per month for that. (https://invisioncommunity.com/buy)
We would be prepared to do a handover of the domain names that we currently hold to a non-profit making group which seriously wants to organise a new TAMB and has the skills and numbers to do it. This would not include existing software or server. We are especially keen that the platform or the name do not fall into the hands of what we can only call bawbags. We need not mention names, but I'm sure members can think of a few. Any new group would have to start from scratch and give TAMB a complete bottom up ‘makeover’ and make themselves financially viable.
We have a couple of people who are willing to offer advice to any serious players.
