Folks, In 2007 we walked from Somerset Park to Hampden in memory of Ally MacLeod and to raise awareness of Alzheimer's, and with the help of the fellow foot soldiers we raised over £27,000 for Alzheimer's Scotland and Hampden was jumping as they played "We are on the march with Ally's Army" as we handed the cheque over to Ally's wife Faye. The message that day was that Ally is still loved by us all, and we have been trying unsuccessfully for years to get him inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame. Last year, Ally got a good number of the nominations again but wasn't inducted. We asked for a freedom of information act request on the number of votes received but this wasn't recorded by the hall of fame, but to their credit they gave us all the other information. This year we want to step up the campaign and show that Ally deserves his place in the hall of fame. We have had some Ally masks made for us (ready to wear) and we are hoping that we can start the ball rolling with this and that 100's of Ally's will turn up in Dublin in June and at Hampden thereafter. It will be fun but at the same time hopefully get a message across to the media there. The picture for the masks was picked by the MacLeod family and shows a smiling, happy Ally. Can you help spread the word and join us in our quest. Any profit from the production of the masks will be donated yet again to Alzheimer's Scotland. We also have an online petition on Change.org that we intend to hand to the Hall of Fame once the inductions commence later this year. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=251923818475 Let's go on the March with Ally's Army again......... Thank you

How many travelling fans in dublin on match day. I reckon it could be the biggest travelling support in this campaign because 1. Its a saturday night 2. A freindly city 2. Easy to get to either ferry or flights to belfast, dublin or other nearby airports 3. wee gordon has got the nation believing again 4. The tartan army will find tickets even if its the home end, look at paris. Looking at tamb alot of footsoilders already booked up.

Blairgowrie Tartan Army will be running a 49 seat coach to Dublin for the Euro 2016 qualifier v Republic of Ireland in June next year. The bus will leave Blairgowrie (which is 16 miles north of Perth if anyone doesn't know) on Friday 12th June 2015 and will look to pick up anyone who wants to come along. We will hop on the ferry at Cairnryan to Belfast. If everyone makes it across without going overboard then the coach will carry on to Dublin. We will return on Sunday 14th June 2015. Bus will come complete with Tartan Army tunes and Tartan Army toilet. Total cost of both the bus and ferry combined will be £105. Obvious pick up points would be places such as Perth, Dunblane, Stirling, Glasgow etc but can maybe deviate from the route slightly on request. We will look to collect a £25 deposit to confirm booking and total cost to be paid by end of March 2015. Any questions or looking to book, please PM me.
