Must admit, in the West Stand last night when it was announced - 'Vauxhall's man of the match - Darren Fletcher!' - I let off a bit of a giggle and shouting on what planet. Although, it must've been hard to pick a stand out player. Is the NI boss good mates with Strachan? It's almost like he agreed his team would be Gibraltar for 90 minutes so we could get some practise in for Sunday. With D.Fletcher and McArthur in the middle of the park, it was tough to watch as we failed to break NI down all night. For me, Darren Fletcher offers us nothing in the middle of the park. He's loyal, a great role model for the youth of today, but that ultimately doesn't make him the kind of footballer we need in the middle. Barry 'back pass' Ferguson is who he reminds me of. Last night we missed 2 full backs capable of getting down the wing and getting the ball into the box - hopefully Hutton/Robertson can do that on Sunday. Badly missed Brown in the middle of the park. Until we get a creative midfielder these games are always going to frustrate us, still too early for Ryan Gauld or the likes of Jack Harper, but what about GMS? I know it was just a friendly but those of us who actually did show up and paid our money to freeze our baws off and watch that p!sh deserve a wee moan.
