The defender made contact in the box, deliberate or not, it was a foul, therefore a penalty.

Good start from Ireland, not giving the French much time on the ball which is vital if you want to stand a chance.

We can all talk about how pish Ireland are and hoofball experts all we like, but at the end of the day, it makes us look even more jealous and bitter than we already are.
They have qualified and progressed into the next stages, something we haven't ever done in our history.
Fair play to them all, it hurts like hell but they have to be applauded.
