For decades anyone who has spoken against high levels of immigration has been smeared as racist / BNP / etc... And that 'killed' the debate and resistance to it, but it was a cheat and every time it was used it built up a layer of resentment and anger until finally came the referendum and their golden chance to stick it up your arses royally. Just keep going calling them racists...see where it takes you... I just cant wait for the GE now. Should be hilarious.
Well said

John Cleese says London isn't an English City and is defiant when asked to clarify
Is he right ?
Is he a racist ?
Is he both ?
Why would you say that if you were not racist (especially when you don't live there)
So many Brexit related questions
I am starting to get a little worried now of what lies ahead seeing how many stupid cunts can be enthralled by Farage
John Cleese isn't racist

Everybody is forgetting the EU in this. the UK Parliament might keep saying no to this no to that.
We are debating with ourselves and not even considering the EU.
i envisage the EU saying take it or leave it by a set date. say October no deal is agreed, they get another extension till 31st Dec, take whats on the table or go with nothing,
Boris , etc will love this, cos it will turn into a us v them scenario ...plenty of time for UJ waving, billy brit etc, Boris doing his Churchill.bbc and papers doing british spirit etc etc ........
Good stuff.

Think that graph is a bit straw clutching but what was interesting, and not really seen it discussed, is 2014 UKIP and Conservatives had 51% of the votes (8.1m) and in 2019 Brexit, Conservative and UKIP had 44% (c7m).
Given the motivation the Brexit party had to get folk out arguably their result isn’t that brilliant given the overall vote for a mad bastard Brexit seems to have reduced considerably comparing the last two results.
Nothing mad about Brexit though. People talking like it's some sort of disease, which it isn't.

TA specific?
Kinda. If we are ever in that position same criteria will apply.

Winning it does what exactly? You don't get auto qualification to 2020.
Is it just to be top of group A and the pride of it?

No deal brexit would be OK. The WTO rules are fair and transparent.
Nothing to fear for Britain (or scotland)

Farage would make a good prime minister

I have no doubt errors were made on both sides. Brexiteers not thinking of all scenarios and Remainers perhaps being far too cock-sure that Remain would win and so prepared a weak case due to over-confidence.
Personally, I am ambivalent about the EU issue. I can see reasons for being in it and reasons for not but either way independence has to be achieved first before Scotland can make those sort of decisions. For leaving the EU sure you can do your own trade deals and hold more control over all issues but on the other side of the coin there is much to lose such as use of services supplied by the EU and EU partners.
Finally a balanced answer but missing one point. Point about Scotland can't be independent if it's still part of the EU.
