Quite surprised that Daniel Harvie isn't involved

Who do we have coming through? I like the look of McCrorie. Any Ayr United fans know how young Ross Doohan isvdoing on loan there? They two seem to be our best U21 Keepers
Ross Doohan is doing fine, I've been really impressed by him so far. He's quietly doing his job and against Dundee he had 2 excellent saves when it was 0-0. From what I've seen Doohan could certainly step up a level or 2 and it wouldn't really faze him. Another player who I like the look of is Daniel Harvie and of course Laurence Shankland
-
Bates also starts for Hamburg who are currently 2-0 up
-
Stuart Armstrong starts for Southampton, as does Robertson for Liverpool and Snoddy on the bench for West Ham
-
It's Griffiths shirt to lose imo. I think Johnny Russell is 2nd then McBurnie, Rhodes etc. I really don't know whats been happening to Mccormack in the last couple of years, another disappointing return on someone that really should've kicked on

Harvey st clair also started for Venezia today

Corbyn doesn’t support the EU, how can he when his whole thing is anti austerity? Supporting the EU would be hypocritical . . .
Being hypocritical is part and parcel with politics though. I mean we've had everyone and their granny out protesting against Trump yet labour's Sadiq Khan, David Lammy and Owen Jones have went extremely quiet with the visit from the Amir of Qatar....

Rhodes signs with Norwich
Tony Watt signs with St Johnstone

Armstrong is a really good player when he's fit. Really good bit of business from Southampton
-
I remember a young Kasper Schmeichel on loan to Falkirk years ago, it was the absolute making of him. Hopefully Sammut makes the most of this although Chelsea is a tough nut to cracking for the best of players

Hat trick for Russell in MLS
Russell was excellent for Kansas. He's been brilliant so far in the MLS. I think thats 5 goals in 5 games plus 2 assists. If he keeps this up then it will be hard to ignore him for a future call up
-
Im sure that I read somewhere that the MLS was in the top 10 best leagues in the world and that the SPL was 20th I think, mind you that could be from a while ago

Bain couldn't play as he is on loan from Dundee.
Ah right! I thought they got him from Hibs, my mistake!
-
Was anyone disappointed to see Gordon back between the sticks rather than Bain?
-
I would like to see Tierney left back with Robertson left midfield, play a 4-5-1 even just in a friendly. It would be the best left sided nation in Europe
-
Snoddy, Tierney and Griffiths. Personally disappointed to see Brown retire, and I think there is much more to come from McDonald , Cairney and McTominay although I don't really think anyone got pass marks against Costa Rica other than McKenna.
McCormack needs a move asap, although he scored for fun in the Australian A league, I can see him going back to Leeds in the summer

You can learn a lot very quickly with the higher standard of coaching and training with the top players that Parkhead allows
Half the Scotland youngsters will be saying that after this weekend.
Interesting thing now is who will McKenna be playing for next season.
I'm sure Hull had a bid rejected for him but that could just be papertalk

Will Hendry be in the Celtic side next season? I can see them spending big to bolster their defence which looks a bit ropey at times and can't see their fans accepting the gap closing any tighter. Spending big usually means going foreign as well although Rodgers has done more than some of their recent managers to nurture young Scottish talent. They're miles away from a breakthrough in CL terms though. Hopefully he'll stay in their side and continue to develop.
I think he'll get his chance at Celtic, especially with performances like last night. I think Rodgers said in a recent interview that he prefers player development rather than trophies! Even though Celtic have a ropey looking defence, they have only conceaded 20 goals in the league. I'm sure Hendry has only played 2 or 3 times though so here's hoping that he muscles his way into the first 11

His best performance for Scotland and he was still pretty poor. A 6/10, if we're being generous.
A terrible excuse for a footballer. File him with Matt Ritchie and let's forget about him.
Thats a bit harsh

Lots more drive and determination in the middle of the park tonight, McKenna and Hendry were excellent for such a young pairing.
With Tierney and Griffiths coming back the future looks bright. Almost makes you believe that we can qualify for a major tournament again....

Grant Hanley's final ball is terrible, needs to lift his head more
-
He's certainly a bit of an enigma, has the ability and talent but drifts in and out of games far too much for most peoples liking.

Is Ruben Sammut injured?
Tony Watt

Shankland should be ahead of Watt
