Try germanwings from stansted. Add on flights down south and I think we were about £130 all in ;-)
I can confirm that. Flying Glasgow to Stansted then Vienna with 2 nights accommodation in Bratislava £170 all in. There was a cracking looking hotel in the old town on Expedia called the Loft, only £40 a night with a free mini bar thrown in

I ran a bus from Quarteria and in doing so I met Lewis McDonald, John Stewart and his wife Fiona, Died, Houston and foot soldier. I also met Windy from the Arbroath 1320 TA. All a great bunch of people. Thank fir making it a memorable trip and hopefully I'll catch up with a few of you for a pint before a match

What gets me is the interviews with players and the manager after the game when the come away with "we could have done better" or "we didn't play to our potential"At least we were getting to World Cups & Euros back in the day.
We're doing nothing on the pitch these days to merit such a support.
Why didn't they play to their potential, why didn't they play better. They should be going out there every game believing they are going to win and giving there best performance the same way the fans turn up every game and put in a performance.
And on the other point about the SFA, I think they would brick themselves if 35,000 SSC members refused to renew their membership and took pot luck in a public sale. I can't see many of us not getting a ticket

Just to keep everyone posted, the coach company have confirmed receipt of the payment and will finalise details with me next week.
Due to the small numbers involved, I will not be sending out tickets or PM's to be printed off, I'll just confirm names at the bus. First 8 to arrive will be on the first bus and the next 8 on the second bus.
Looking forward to meeting you all and hopefully we'll be partying in the sun afterwards

That's seems a bit steep. Have you thought to ask our Irish counterparts how they got there and back

If the allocation is say 1000 they offer it to the top 1000 using the points system. Once they have had their chance to buy it moves down the points levels until they are sold out (or not as it is for most games).
That really surprises me. I would have thought that the fans with the higher points would have snapped them up

Forgive my ignorance here, but was the allocation originally only open to members on higher points then worked it's way down or was it opened up to all members from the start

Thanks for the heads up. Me and the Mrs are all inclusive ans except for the game are only going for a pool break so should be ok as long as it's sunnyIve been to Quarteria twice
First time was in 1986 - 6 of us went on a lads holiday for 2 weeks
It was utter shite - absolutely bugger all to do and there were about 3 pubs
Second time was in 1993 for the infamous Portugal 5-0 drubbing
Went with Ian Sharp's Euroscot tours and our stay was to be in the Algarve (destination unknown - we all thought it would be Albufeira or at worse Villamoura
To my horror we were again landed in Quarteria and all had changed in 7 years apart from the 3 pubs had been replaced by 3 others (possibly an exaggeration but it was that bad not helped by being out of season)
Still have nightmares about ever landing up there again

I'm like giblet, took my boys to the East stand for years and took the opportunity to move to the North this year despite the over inflated prices. That's when we noticed that all the singing started in the West and the banter between the two sets of fans looked great. West stand for us next time

I have had confirmation of pick up point and price details from the coach operator. We will require 2 or 3 eight seater buses ( i'll know exactly once you have all confirmed). they will pick up from the Atismar Hotel, DR. Francisco SA, Quatrteira ( which is on the next street up from the beach) at 6pm local time. The price for this is 10 euros per head.
Please PM me to confirm your seat and we can discuss payment methods.
ColinG - If you still require seats,let me know, but you will probably have to make it to the pick up point, which isn;t really that far from your hotel as the coach operator wants to do a direct rum to and from the stadium

I wouldnt play fletcher again he was hopeless tonight also we need to get forward quicker without playing the long direct ball.
Exactly. Why do we always need to take a touch on the ball before passing it back, let's just pass it back first time and stop wasting time

According to Strachan he can. Strachan days Rhodes can't plat up front himself and that's why he picks Fletcher. I say feck the lone striker and let's go back to two up ftontHe's never been a prolific striker, what he has been though is someone who creates chances, many times for others. he cant play up on his own, it is so obvious. The only time he looked good for Scotland was when he partnered McCormack up front.

Absolutely. It looked like most of the team thought they just had to turn up to get a result.
And once again I thouht Strachan's substitutions were more than questionable. Two of our more creative players off and leaving Griffith out until the 75th minute
