A reminder email today amongst other things. Just under 1500 have replied.

Yup noticed that, Expect similar type rant's like the ones going on in the Malta forum about folk not being able to get a ticket, Pretty sure SFA hands will be tied for amount available for this game though down to segregation and the small ground. Still won't deter the inevitable SFA Bashing though

  6. Reserved a room in the Three Crowns too. £67 for 3 nights. Just the flights to book if or when the fixture is officially announced

Same as leaving flights the now, Got the Belvedere booked with Free Cancellation, £115 for 3 Nights

  7. Watching the Gibraltar game was pretty much a horror show for me. Sure, we won 6-0, but the number of simple chances or fantastic balls in that no one got onto was just embarrassing. Neither Martin, nor Fletcher are out and out goal scorers, they positioning and technique are lacking and we pass up so many opportunities as a result. The same can be said of Naismith, scored a couple of good goals in the campaign, but passed up many more simple chances.

I had been looking forward to us giving a run out to Rhodes and Griffiths in this game as both or them are sharper infront of goal than those currently in the shirts, but obviously we lost both to injuries. For me this is the main part of our side that we can actually change for the better. Fletcher is fine, Naismith is fine, but Fletcher and Naismith or Fletcher and Martin is just a waste of time. We have some clinical striking talent available to us, so to see the guys on the pitch constantly passing up chances has just reach the tipping point of complete frustration for me.

People talk about Feltcher's hold up play, and it is valuable in some games. For example, against Germany. But if you look at most of our chances, they don't come from his hold up play, they come from endeavour on the wings and balls coming in. For that you want a player like Rhodes who thrives on that. He has the intelligence in positioning and the awareness to get in front of players and put the ball away. To me that's what we can obviously improve on, simply by playing one or two of the players who are true goal scorers.

Absolutely spot on. Speed on the flanks and being clinical is what's required. Robertson who is one of the players which is the "future scotland" delivered absolute quality balls all night long and to see fletcher continually missing them was frustrating at the least, yeah Martin was there too but this is the fletcher thread... Can you trust that when we have that one chance to score when the ball flashes across the box fletcher will be there.. NO and that's the point!!! 6 goals that don't matter doesn't make this campaign and his performances a success by any means. The simple fact is he has been picked ahead of others and we are out, yes defensively we have done ourselves no favours at all but if others had started in his place would we have qualified despite that... Well that's the million dollar question.... I think so... many may agree, many may disagree but regardless that's got to be tested in friendlies going forward and not with gung ho 20 min appearances.

  8. Alrighte Folks, Well last minute.com here. Have flights sorted out and travel out on the 9th back on the 12th. Before i go booking somewhere has anyone got accomodation booked for those dates that no longer needs it, might save someone being out o pocket a bit.

  9. The qualifier is obviously the bigger, more important game. In fact it's the most important game in years. Right now I'd take a 5-0 doing from England if we get 3 points, I'd even take a doing if we get 1 point on Friday.

But, If all goes according to plan and we get 3 points on Friday and turn the English over in a friendly, in 10 years time will you say to yourself or other people "I was there when we beat Ireland" or "I was there the night we beat England" for me it'd probably be the latter along with many other fans I'd imagine and the $FA know this, even though right now I'd sacrifice anything to get 3 points

The prices are scandalous but it's the fact we've got a VERY VERY good chance off beating them that I've crumbled and will be going next Tuesday

Completely Agree... Ultimately the Irish game is the important fixture but if we beat England on the Tuesday night how many of those fans that did not turn up will be the same ones goading their English work colleagues the next day and ultimately gutted that they did not turn up to see it...

Was never going to miss these two fixtures although I do understand why folk not forking out,..of the group of 10 of us that go only 2 are making the England game and of course the SFA has a lot to answer for but ultimately so does the Tuesday night friendly as ultimately if this was a Saturday afternoon and tickets were the same price it would be much better attended.
