  1. I'm sure the Germans wont relax as they will want to win the group especially with Poland only 2 points behind. I would rather have our games left than Irelands so 3rd place very much alive. Roll on 8th October.

  2. On Sunday or Monday?? I was there on Sunday and there was a shoes off outside after it closed

Me and the Mrs also outside after closing time Sunday night. Managed to get some chips across the road as well. Great fun.

  3. A draw with Poland and a win out there will get us to playoffs provided Ireland lose to Germany and Poland. If we beat Poland and Gibraltar, we will be in playoffs as Ireland can do what they like as we would then have a better head to head with Poland (should we and Ireland beat them). The ones that have not yet made their minds up whether to go or not are no further forward. Too late if waiting for Poland result so let's get out there. Hope my facts are ok as I have been drinking.

  4. Campus on Sauchiehall St is, afaik, the only place putting on a dedicated Scotland/Germany party on the Sunday night with Scottish and German tunes/food and drink........

Me and Mrs travelling up from the south on Saturday for a long weekend. Will have a look in. Wish we were travelling back from Georgia though.

  5. Will be in Luton airport for 9 hours on the friday, anyone got any knowledge of area for popping to for a few hours to break up the wait.

In the same boat. Me and Mrs flying up from Luton on Thurs for Poland match then flying back down Fri morning to wait for the Faro flight at 1835 (I think). We are meeting another couple at midday and will venture out for some food and more beer. Our car will be at the airport from Thursday but with beer, it will stay in the car park till the following Friday when we return. You're more than welcome to join us.

  6. After the ssc members sale there is usually a general sale for tickets left. If you buy one, you have to give your details which is registering. This is free and allows you access to home games tickets after paying members windows are over. Also, as ssc membership is full, you can register by giving your details. You will receive these emails and get offered tickets if any left. Either way, if ssc have your email address, you will get email from them.

What the ssc didn't say was that this was really a general sale as you were able to register there and then and buy tickets for the two games.

  7. How dare he !! You wouldn't get us doing that at an away game !

I know what you're saying because I done it for Dublin, but only because the tickets were sold in a way that made it easy to do so i.e. Abbey Travel and so on. I thought the SFA were trying to limit the opportunities the Germans and Poles had to get home end tickets.

If the above is true with the Pole registering now and buying tickets, the email from the SFA should have read general sale and not a unique opportunity for registered supporters as it seems to be a free for all. In fact, registered supporters may not think they need to hurry as they think they have a bit of time to buy.

  8. Polish boy at work managed to register a new account and buy 4.

I think I see a flaw in this system...

Something not quite right. If it's allowing fresh registrations, it may as well be a general sale.
  9. I would take this to mean Registered and Paid Up SSC members. Can't see many Germans or Poles in that group.

IF you have bought tickets before for games in a public sale, you must register (do not need to join the ssc). You can register anytime so as you are set up to be able to buy tickets after the members sale. Germans and Poles could have set themselves up weeks ago. Hopefully not too many though.

  10. Not so much a member sale then. This means that anyone who has registered before today can buy the tickets. Its better than nothing, but I'm sure lots of Germans and Poles have already registered.

Am I right in thinking that you must be registered with the SFA to be eligable to buy a ticket, and that no one new will be able to register until noon next Monday.

  11. Whats up with the SFA. They want to keep away fans to a minimum - we all get that, so they allow 4 days for a relatively small amount of people who did'nt buy their tickets first time round. We get that, but 4 days, and how many were actually sold in these 4 days. So to keep away fans out of the home end the SFA's way of doing this is to 'secretly' let members know there will be a public sale? As said above, the Germans and Poles will be rubbing their hands right now and wondering what they were worried about the past few weeks. There are plenty tickets left - why not a member sale for at least two days and the SFA would be working towards what they are aledgedly trying to achieve.

  12. I'm sure there's more than me that's been at Hampden in crowds that far exceeds the current capacity and it being full of Scots. Surely for Germany and Poland games there are enough scots hungry enough to get any general sale tickets. Come on folks if we can't sell out for these games! What will it take?
