Can you not get it delivered to another member of the travel club (in the uk)?

Doubt it, but I don't know for sure. Give them a call. The lassies are usually very helpful.

Yes you are able to get it delivered to someone else who's in the SSC too.

I've had Davy P (Cyprus TA) tickets delivered to me - We we're unsure if we'd all have to pick up as he was in my order but tickets came through no problem at all.  Hope that helps..

  2. Donation 67: Peru, May 2018

The Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal are pleased to announce that we will maintaining our pledge to donate wherever the Scotland National team play when we present donation number 67 to Project Peru in Lima on May 29th 2018.

Project Peru is a small UK based charity that runs a refuge in Zapallal, a desert shanty town on the outskirts of Lima. The refuge offers food, clothes, shelter, education, health & fun to the 50 children who live there. The Refuge also gives ongoing & practical support to those who live in extreme poverty in the local community.

Having personally met with the founders of the charity, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal are confident that our donation will make a real and significant difference to the lives of everyone at the refuge.

This donation will also set a significant landmark for TASA as it will be the furthest we have travelled to make a charitable donation. It would be good if a few TA members could join us on match day morning when we visit the refuge. More details will follow nearer the time.

Here’s some links to information about the charity and what they do:

Sunday, fly to Cusco (06:35 - 08:00), full day tour from Cusco ending in Ollantaytambo, then train to Aguas Calientes (19:04 - 20:45)

Monday, morning at Machu Picchu, train to Poroy (15:20 - 19:05) then taxi to Cusco hotel.

Tuesday, fly back to Lima (08:30 - 10:00)

Think you are on the same flight out as a few of us... well 16 of us!! We're heading straight to Machu Picchu on the Sunday, staying up that way overnight then heading back to Cusco following morning for a few hours before late afternoon flight back to Lima on the Monday. Busy couple of days but we're tight on time to fit it in.

  4. Hi,

From 6-10th June, myself and a group of Scotland fans will be cycling from Wembley to Hampden Park to arrive just before the Scotland v England world cup qualifier. We are raising money for the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. We are looking for sponsorship & offers of assistance from fellow Scotland fans. Are you a member of a Tartan Army group? Would you be interested in supporting us by sponsoring a rider and having your logo on our cycling jerseys? Please get in touch if you can help us.

    Thanks all.

Aye but when you substitute the cost of the all the t shirts it comes down to £1,149,950.

This is true. Still think there should be 2 membership prices. One with the 'freebies' & one without.

With all the connotations of trying to get to Metz and given the price of diesel currently, I think we are going to drive. Travel to Folkestone on Thursday night and get a hotel then tunnel on the Friday morning and drive to Metz which is about 4 hours I reckon from Calais.

    Anyone else considering this option?

Might be cheaper to go via Portsmouth on the overnight ferry to Le Havre? Think there is only 50 or so miles in it between there & Calais?

  7. hahaha!! She's getting locked in the house till I get back ;-)

Seriously though, she's going to go to some of the games at Hamden too but has tactically said she'll give the 2 ingerland games a miss which is fair enough.

She never really understood why I love following Scotland so much till she came to those 2 games. She said she'd never seen me celebrate ANY goal the way i celebrated the one v ROI & she thought the support in Faro was the best she had ever seen - considering the circumstances. Think she enjoyed the strip in Albufeira too ;-)

Off to Budapest a week on Thursday.  Booked the River Danube dinner cruise and also booked a walking tour.

Im going on Thursday 17th, only overnight though & back again for a week in April / August.

Never been & really looking forward to going there the 3 times :-)

  9. Wonder if I'm a tourist too? I'd rather go to away games than home - Sometimes it costs me more to get from Portsmouth to Glasgow than it costs me to fly abroad due to crazy airline prices that deem it dearer to fly 400 miles than 1000+ Something I've never understood :-)

On the question of 0 points, my missus (who's born & bred English by the way) loves the tartan army so much she's made me buy her a SSC membership so she can build up her own points. She was at Celtic Park for the ROI game & travelled to Faro in October. She's also going to Malta in May/September & France in June & hoping to start building up her own points, probably with the Italy game. Ive told her not to expect tickets for France or Malta due to popularity of the games etc but she still wants to be there to be part of it all. She did say she wished she'd joined earlier as she'd have probably been or 4-5 points by the time the Italy game comes around. Its easy to build up your points if you are able to fund the trips & get the time of work, as others have said lots of games have gone to 0-1 points in the past few years.

Personally don't see the hype about Wembley either. Far more appealing away games to go to than that one :-)

    Aye, LUX-Metz.

Seems very reasonable - somehow both cheaper and quicker than the bus.

Think we are getting the 13:09 on the Saturday, returning on the 12:04 Sunday lunchtime

Wife called to say our packs arrived today.

Asked about the shirt and she said she would sooner let me out in public wearing the pink away top than in that

Is the pink one getting an outing in Prague next month? B)
