Cheers as this will be a solo trip will be doing a lot more touristy stuff than normal. For some reason really looking forward to this as always wanted to visit Rome since studying about the Romans when I was at high school.It is an amazing city and apart from the well known stuff to see there is just hundreds of years of history casually discarded as they`ve never got round to fully excavating it. Each Roman Emporer more or less rubbished the one before him, tore down what he had built and started again.
As an example the Circus Maximus where up to 150,000 used to watch chariot racing ( think Ben Hur ) now just sits like 2 side by side council owned gravel football pitches with very little to tell you the history of the place

cheers for that info. I've got a right fancy looking place booked just beside central station. Just randomly fancied a change. Never been away with the rugby before so don't know what the craic will be like. Always go to murrayfield just never been away.Routings from Edinburgh at the moment for £132 return as well. It's the best trip of the Six Nations and I'm really looking forward to it next year - two years ago I got sunburnt in late February there so hoping for more of the same! Would recommend staying in the Trastevere district - lots of great bars and restaurants. Not long now!

Going to do Cardiff aswell I think if I can get hold of a ticket. Viagogo selling plenty cheap tickets for the Italian game. What assured my attendance was the fact it's only 150 return flights via Paris from Aberdeen.

Planning on going to Rome for the rugby next year. Anybody been before and if so what is it like? So far got the collouseum on my things to do list.

Aye done the kings cross lounge coming back Fae warsaw. Felt slightly out of place as it was mainly suit and tie s. They serve free drink on train on week days.

Aye it's brilliant. They fair look after you. Although they don't serve booze on weekends. The lassie gave me free booze because I asked politely where the bar was.

Applied for 10 days straight of group games to make a holiday of it. Also applied for final but ticked higher category if it becomes available. Don't think missus will be happy if I get a top price final ticket

Just been boosted by the fact my apartment has confirmed I can check in that time of the morning as long as I pay the extra night before I arrive only an extra 20 quid so not too fussed

Cheers for advice. Might go down night before then stay at airport or use the sleeper to Euston. I've emailed customer service to see what they say

Posted this as a side comment on another thread. I have a 1hr 5min connection to changeover from Aberdeen flight to Istanbul flight. Is that enough just away to change my plans and book that route. I'm hand baggage only

That's good to here would rather go for a slap up to refuel. Only thing I'm panicking about is the 1hr 5min connection time at Gatwick I haveAccording to a woman on Tripadvisor there is a complex place with restaurants and that about 10 minutes or so away in a taxi. I've never been in Asia before so I'll be able to say I went for a walk in another contintent

Aye al be abit worse for wear especially after leaving Aberdeen at 8.30 so really don't fancy hanging round the airport barI might even hunt doon a real proper kebab!! I doubt they'll have broon chippy sauce for it over there though

The very same flight. Im flying from Gatwick arriving at back of 5 so a long wait in the airport.Leaving Sabiha Gocka Airport at 11:00 and arriving in Tbilisi at 3:05?? That's the flight we are on

Really looking forward to this. I know this a potential banana skin of a tie but I firmly believe we will come away with 3 points. I'm more worried about the physical shape of the team after a trip like this to play Germany 3 days after is not the best.

God help you with the vodka. Took me nearly a week to recover from warsawCurrently in Sopot, spent the day earlier in Gdansk and then after a couple of days on the fantastic Sopot beach we'll visit Gdynia.
Then heading south by car to Pinczow to see the wife's family for the festival there this weekend.
After that we're heading to Kraków where my daughter is flying out to join us as she really wants to see Auschwitz with us ??
Plenty beer and cabbage consumed but no yet tried the vodka!

Cheers folks changed my travel plans so now going via Istanbul on the Wednesday night. Was just too expensive to arrive during day in tbilsi.

Aye nae time in Lisbon for me arrive at 14.45 train the back of 5 but gonna stick around airport as station for albufeira is only a couple of km Fae airport
