  1. McCall can jugle the Motherwell job with Scotland but not the Rangers job. Makes you wonder how serious he was about his role with both clubs.

Think he'll be under pressure from Rangers supporters not to return to the national team because of their seethe towards the SFA.

Not too fussed what comes of it either way. As long as GS is still in charge.

  2. Getting on at Perth at 9.05. Was going to head to Counting House or Society Room for breakfast before heading to Ironhorse. Is there not a Wetherspoon's at main entrance to Queen St station on George St?

I'm sure you get a pint if you have a big breakfast before 11am Vince

    Aye, Camperdown Palace.

  3. Leigh Griffiths - Had a good 6 weeks, rank before that. Not convinced he really makes a difference, especially in big games. A lot of his goals don't really matter (scoring in 4-0 wins etc) and the manager doesn't trust him in Europe. Has just 5 spfl goals.. for Celtic.. that's poor whichever way you slice it. 10 for the season.

Scored in both of Celtics semi finals this season. I'd class them as big games. Has proven over the last few season he can score all sorts of goals.

Would have no objections to seeing him start.

  4. Outward

Depart Amsterdam 1435 - Arrive Istanbul Gokcen 1955 then, depart Istanbul Gokcen 2340 - Arrive Tbilisi 0305. Both with Pegasus £117 all in.

    Return

Depart Tbilisi 0620 - Arrive Kiev 0820 then depart Kiev 0950 - Arrive Amsterdam 1155. Both with UIA £98 all in.

£215 at the minute with flights to and from Amsterdam still to book. Suitable flights with KLM at the minute under £100 but, unsure I should do a night in Amsterdam or not so holding off for now.

Might ditch the Glasgow flights now. Price is up over £200. More suitable flights from Edinburgh for about £60 less and even better flights from Newcastle for around £100.

Will get it booked at the end of the week incase flights increase again.

  5. Irish breakfast TV stating we will receive around 3000-3500 tickets.

Also, heavy security presence being put in place to restrict 'away' fans obtaining entry in to the home end.

Would be a bit shit of them given the amount of Irish fans in the home end when they visited.

I fully understand it's the home end for a reason and the SFA are to blame for the Irish getting in at Parkhead but, these are just football fans wanting to watch their team.

  6. Stayed in Petit Palace San Benardo last week. Almost next door to Santo Domingo metro station, a minutes walk from Gran Via, with most other major sites within walking distance.

Took a 3 day pass for Metro out of laziness only about 16 which I thought was decent.

Few great things to see. Royal Palace is pretty spectacular. Del Prado Museum is decent. The Bullring is quite interesting. Managed to squeeze in Real vs Sevilla as well.

    Good city.

  7. Thank you mate I've stayed in hostels recently on away trips including a class one in Moscow a couple years ago but I think £30 is dead on in the ibis.

Just looking at the bus from edinburgh-the options you can book to in glasgow are anniesland cross, drum chapel drumroll roundabout, gartnavel great western road or hill head great western road? Are any of these central?

Think something may be wrong there. All those options are heading out the west end.

If you're staying in the Ibis you want a bus to Buchanan Street Bus Station, walking distance from the hotel.

There is a direct bus linking the two.
