  1. Twist and shout will be THE song of the weekend. Rightly so. After the FIFA revelations I'm prepared to sing the Maradonna song and insert Thiery Henrys name! As for my own effort....

Give me joy in my heart, keep me Scottish

Oh give me joy in my heart, I pray.

And though my passport might say that I'm British,

Keep me Scottish 'til the break of day.

Chorus... Darren Fletcher, Darren Fletcher, Darren Fletcher is the king of kings!

Please join in if you hear me!

  2. Cheers for the video mate, had forgotten just how good that day was, though much of the game was actually quite painful! Weve all done a lot of moaning about ticket prices, but its hard to put a price on that experience. I certainly know that none of the folk who spent 100 quid today on take that tickets will experience anything like what we all felt that day.

  3. I'm not always sure about how much fans can influence events on the pitch. However, I remember the last 5 minutes of the first half against france. They had had a goal ruled out (maybe 2) and had hit the post. The nerves from the crowd were starting to get tangible and it could have affected the players, but then the west stand started singing doe a deer. And then the north stand joined in. And then the rest of the ground. And it kept going for a good five minutes til halftime. The song always gets lots of stick, but it did a job that day.

  4. Hate to be defending the blazers, but there is one possible reason for this other than the SFA trying to encourage panic buying. For celtic games in recent years, the front two rows behind the goals have been empty, even when the game is a sell out. It seems that most of the tickets that have been put up for sale in the last few days are in these rows. It could be that there is a reason why Celtic don't fill them - it seemed to start around the time that the boy ran onto the pitch and pushed the Italian goalie - and the SFA have just realised that they are able to fill them for an international.

  5. Not sure if its the ticket prices, referendum, or fact game isn't at Hampden, but I'm struggling to remember the run up to a Saturday game with as little excitement on this board. Normally there are annoying posts about how many sleeps to go or what seat folk are sitting in. Just feels like there's something missing.
