  1. Thanks for the honest assesment.

I've insisted for the last couple of year that our most difficult league game has always been against St Johnstone. We always struggle against the collective spirit that Saints have, and more times than not Tommy Wright has the better of McInnes.

In my opinion, that was a better and more important result today than the one against Celtic last Wednesday.

Sometimes all this forum needs is a like button. This is one of these (some)times

  2. Fantastic result today for Aberdeen, after a difficult game on Wednesday.

I cannae disagree with you (that'll be a first ;-) ) From where I was sitting, Aberdeen won the first half by a mile, Saints lost the second half. I've been saying for weeks that oor goalie needs to have a word with himself. My pals are beginning to agree with me after today's performance. Aberdeen thoroughly deserved the win, and probably should have won by more (a 5-1 revenge soreline wouldn't have flattered you) But, cor blimey, the last time I saw a ref blow up for full time in the situation he did was the Welsh guy (Clive Thomas?) in the World cup in a game where Brazil scored. Saints player, bearing down on two Aberdeen players in the box, one defender just about to pull him down when the whistle goes. Weird.

  3. By agreeing to Tynecastle the Saints board effectively committed the fans to 3.5K tickets or how many the stand behind the goals holds. They must have known that there would have been a clamour from Hibs fans for tickets, same as there was from Aberdeen fans 2 years ago.

I've got lots of sympathy for Saints fans here, but I do think that your own club should have been stronger in at least trying to insist on a more neutral venue.

From a selfish point of view, I’m glad it’s at Tynecastle. I can wander down to the game, meet my mates in the Prison club that their bus is booked into, and have a wee bevvy before the game. But, I agree with you. I think the blame of the ticket situation lies firmly at the door of St. Johnstone's bargainers. . St Johnstone should have said “We want 6000 tickets and, if we can’t sell them, then Hibs can get the rest”. Rather than, “Can we have 3 thousand odd and, if we have demand for a wee bit more, can we get a wee bit more tickets.”
In short, in my opinion, it’s our board’s and therefore the chief (Steve Brown) fault that our fans can’t get to the game
  4. I think it may be St Johnstone's fault for underestimating the number of people who would be after a ticket. I'm meeting my pals off their bus which is booked into The Prison Officers Club next to Tynecastle

Oops, to continue, I'll be wearing my lucky t shirt (the one I wore to the Ibrox semi final)

I'll be heading back home for a wee drink after the game. I'm not predicting a score cause I'm usually wrong.

  5. back the decision of the Aberdeen players to play on. Too often players take the piss in these scenarios.

So do I. I get that annoyed when Saints do it. Let the ref and his assistants decide if the game needs to be stopped. If it gets stopped, lets have good old fashioned stramash at the drop ball.

  6. . I've spent many a braw occasion there and think it's a lovely city. I

Kaunas is a complete shithole populated by scumbags. By far the worst place I've ever been following Scotland.

Kaunas is a shithole with absolutely no redeeming features!

I have to admit, I've only been in Kanuas 2 or 3 times a year since 2006. There are lots of places in Kaunas I've not managed to visit so I dont feel as qualified as you others who appear to have been in every part of every street in Kaunas so I bow to your greater knowledge
