  1. As fantastic and gripping the 10 hours of TV are, any presumption of guilt or innocence is flawed as it was never investigated thoroughly. For that very reason, Steven Avery should not be in jail.

Out of all the supposed evidence left out of the TV show, it was also argued down by the defence in the same manner as the evidence shown. I think that they wanted you to feel sympathy for Steven Avery which you would not do if he was a bit creepier than simple minded. The two Auto Trader employees who testified said that she knew where she was going and who she was meeting, she was certainly not duped into going there.

I also thought that it was DNA found on the car bonnet latch, not a finger print. One of the officers admitted to not changing his gloves when searching the Toyota.

The bullet being found in garage with the DNA (another ballsed up test) to prove that this is where the murder took place seems so far fetched as Steven Avery would then needs to forensically remove all DNA traces from the scene, the same guy who tried to hide the Toyota with a few tree branches.

However, the biggest injustice has to be Brendon. Everything about that confession, representation and court case was hard to watch. On the advice of someone earlier in the thread I watched the full videos of the confession and read the 21 page transcript with the investigator and still believe he had no clue what he was saying and the implications. The bit about confessing to helping to commit murder then wanting to go home and watch the wrestling was a low point, as was him and his mum trying to understand what inconsistent meant. However, he also cleaned up his DNA from the bedroom.

In summary of my rant, it is impossible to know what happened and hopefully a full investigation of all potential suspects will take place to indenting what happened, starting with Scott Tadych in my opinion.

  2. Personally, professionally, family and football.

After a horrific 2013, a steady 2014, I had high hopes for 2015. How did all of yours pan out?

    Personally

Finally got to call my favourite person in the world my wife. The day itself was amazing and stress free and exactly the day we wanted, just family and very close friends. After saving through 2014 and not going on any holidays, three weeks in Singapore/Bali and a week in Portugal all in the second half of the year have given us such much appreciated time together. On the negative, I have put on about 10kilos since the wedding which I need to get removed in the coming months. All in all it has been a fantastic year for me personally.

    Professionally

I have had three secondments this year, each one a level above my old job. I have taken huge strides in my career after a three year lull and will hopefully get a position out of this secondment when it ends in April. I applied for a position at the end of my last secondment and got down to the last two, however it's really difficult to make that step up as so many people have more experience than me, however, hopefully 2016 will be that year. I am only going to give this as a good year, certainly better than the last few but not as good as it could have been.

    Family

A new nephew at the beginning of the year. Don't know a more deserving couple, been trying for years with medical support so to see the happiness it brings them is fantastic. Another nephew in 6 weeks time, to a different sibling who thought that she could not have any more children after a rather horrible miscarriage two years ago. Could not be happier for both of them. Also had a rare all siblings and children gathering for a weekend at centre parks to celebrate my Dads 60th. It worked so well we are doing the same for my Mums 60th this year. As we are all spread around the UK it is really nice to get together, something we recognise we do not do enough. We also communicate much better as a collective through Whatsapp. As stupid as it sounds, it's a great medium for sending pictures of the children at various events, things, etc. It was started for organising the weekend and developed into a very useful tool. A great year.

    Football

Rubbish. The grounding of 2015 has to be football. In order of disappointment. Scotland not qualifying and being rubbish all year. Fulham continuing to lurch from disaster to disaster. Almost relegated again last season and finishing the year 7 points from safety and a transfer ban for January. Another year of mediocrity from Celtic. Horrible in Europe, treading water in Scotland, far too many passengers in a team is light on quality. Crap year.

All in all it has been a great year for me. I know that 2016 will not match the highs of 2015, however plenty to look forward to, a week in Athens next week, boys trip to Glasgow for the 6 Nations in Feb, family get together in March, trip to Bosnia (first in three years) in May and taking my Dad and my Mother-in-law. Fulham have a new manager. What can go wrong???

So how was it for you?

Happy 2016 and I leave you with my highlight........

  3. Sorry if I've misunderstood Ally but if you mean posting pictures of children due to some paedophile issue is wrong this infuriates me. I hate the implication nowadays that we can't have photos of children as all men are a risk to children. Years ago there was a case of a man asked to move seats by BA as he had been seated beside an unaccompanied child. He refused as he felt they were implying he may be a threat to the child and they removed him from the plane. He brought a case against them then it all disappeared and I imagine they settled out of court. It's bad enough that it seems all men are all treated as threats but I feel it's crossing over to women now too.

If you meant something totally different, for example the fact that a certain poster didn't leave Santa out a wee nip and no mince pies for a magic man who travels the world in a single night then apologies.

I love Christmas, the songs, the gift giving and receiving. I love watching children dancing with sheer excitement of it all, especially when I was walking grumpily through a shopping centre and a wee tot dressed as an elf danced out in front of me and made me stop being a grinchy old sod. I'm at the stage where my friends are having children and choosing their gifts and watching their faces as they unwrap them is, to me at least, priceless. The same feeling as when I took my friends daughter to see her first waterfall and she stood open mouthed with amazement.

I've watched Arthur Christmas, The Grinch who Stole Christmas and about to watch yesterday's Doctor Who. I've tanked half bottle of Baileys, packet of whiskey and rum truffles, some crisps and homemade mince pies with brandy cream and a wee glass of Laphroig so as well as being a fat greedy merry bam I'm also very emotional. Tomorrow children walking in front of me will probably get a sneaky wee kick.

Each to their own though, love it or hate it is every persons own choice. Lamia's married to a man who doesn't like Gloria Gaynor's I Will Survive and for that reason I will defend her over anything. Ohhh Kir Royale suitably chilled, cheerio.

I don't know what happened, is the clock wrong? It looks like it took me an hour to type that out.

I think that if you hate Christmas you are doing it wrong. Great food, token gifts that have some meaning and spending time with family and friends. Not sure what there is 'hate'.

  4. We could argue all day whether this should or shouldn't happen. From an objective point of view, evenif they did go down that road it would be utterly impossible to prove that a) the players involved wouldn't have come anyway and B) we wouldn't have won those leagues anyway.

It would be a futile exercise IMO and would ultimately lead to a stalemate.

U.C.I - 'Mr Armstrong, now we have conclusive proof of doping we feel it only appropriate to strip you of your titles won during that period.'

Lance Armstrong - 'But who is to say I would not have cycled up those hills quicker than the other guys even without doping?'

U.C.I - 'Well that's us at a stalemate now. It would be futile to investigate further.'

  5. I cannot believe the transformation in 6 weeks. Last game every Aberdeen player was fighting for the ball and wanted it much more than Celtic. Today they are a shadow of that team.

Whilst I doubt the rumours were true from a few weeks ago something has definitely changed in that squad. Although you have looked much more dangerous since we went down to 8 men.

Probably your last visit to Celtic Park this season. ?

  6. Decent first 45 minutes.

Superb goal and not just a great cross but a great 45mins for Tierney. Celtic with all the possession and lots of chances without looking that threatening. Both teams only really had one clear cut chance and both should have really scored. Johansson as good as a man down and Bitton miles off the pace. Also been disappointed with Aberdeen. I thought that they would take the game to us a bit more instead of hitting on the break. Shinnie trying to fill the void of Brown by being the faux hardman midfielder.

  7. Today we got treated to the usual song book of songs that I detest.

'Stand up, if you love Fulham...."

'Stand up, if you hate Chelsea...'

No thank you, I will just stay sitting and avoid this Jack in the box action.

    'You're not singing anymore'

'You only sing when you're winning...'

Really, we were silent the full first half because we were awful, score three quick goals and our first song is to slate the opposition fans for stopping singing. Hypocrites.

    'Is there a fire drill.....'

Perfectly acceptable to sing, but not on 88mins when plenty of our own fans are leaving as well.

  8. Lump it on Orlando Sa anytime goal scorer today. Was one of the worst players I have ever seen for Fulham, and there is a fair bit of competition. One for the songs thread after another horrific substitute performance .

    Orlando Sa.....

    Orlando Sa.....

He's from Portugal, and he does F**k all.

    Orlando Sa.

Two guarantee for todays game, we will sing that and he will score against us.

  9. Bit of a mixed bag this trip.

Seen some families making a holiday of it and that is a nice change from the usual, on the other hand, seen plenty of kids at 10:30pm, fast asleep outside bars in the strip whilst guys were lying half naked in bushes, pavements, etc, with their kilt around their necks. I question the parenting skills of some in our support.

Walked up the strip, walked back down the strip, went to a quiet restaurant for a meal and few beers. This was on Saturday night.

Yesterday we went to the beach and again seen lots of families out enjoying the sun.

It's a bit of managing your expectations, plenty of roasters out here but if you go to an area synonymous with roasters you won't have to look hard to find them.

  10. I am 33 and the closest I have been to a major tournament was a school trip to France a week before The World Cup in 98. This was my last realistic chance for a wee while as priority shifts to starting a family over the next couple of years. If the 00's on the 10's were shit for Scotland, lets hope the 20's are better.
