I may be on my own here but the money shouldn't be the reward, spread the cash among each teams equally, being first should be enough for any team in the league. Celtic already have the huge advantage of a bigger fan base. I don't see why giving stronger teams more and more money helps a competition.

Wondered if something similar happens in europe, countries with higher co-efficients get more european spots with more opportunity to get more money, increase their co-efficient further ....

As far as spl, thought about if the best way to even out the league slightly would be for every club to get a tax per ticket, say £2 the proceeds of this would then be split between the 12 clubs weekly or monthly.

  2. Similar but different, more sort of I know why we used to, why do we still...

Wearing a shirt and tie, wearing a collar, 10 buttons and a tie, still thought of as smart attire.  I thought we would have adopted a more practical view on clothes by now.

Shaking hands, I remember watching John bishop giving an award to someone.  He came on the stage shook hands, gave the award, shook hands and shook hands to say goodbye all within about 3 minutes.

The fans? Can't speak for all, but I don't think they were overly chuffed. They agreed with most others opinions that it seemed like a stupid effing idea. Had the possibility of this been planned for, and Murrayfield been sought out as the host for one of the semi finals, then nobody would have been complaining.

I think Brendan said something along the lines of its not ideal but we will get on with it, good games to look forward to etc.  Don't remember any club statements condeming it but maybe did ?

Or, y'know, just have a bit of transparency with your dealings. Wouldn't say it's asking for much.

Thankfully haven't seen any boycott patter, but social media is a weird and wonderful place.

Always a 5% I know but its rediculous.  The spfl have to also be allowed to make decisions.

For whatever reason those two teams were moved I think they probably thought 2 neutral venues so does it matter ?  Only to celtic fans apparently.

  5. Can't believe some celtic fans are suggesting boycott the tournament !  Beacause they lost their annual advantage.

Maybe they should have a ballot to see who plays where, which game starts first, which end each supporters get, which dressing room each team gets, which team bus is parked closer, who gets to call heads or tails, which dugout to use.  That would be fairest.  If they did draw lots, who would go last ? Is that fair ?

I know start a new revolution in fairness scottish football where every team has the same players budget that would be fair.

    Hooray ! I’m a skier ! ⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷⛷

Well, to be more accurate, I have had one lesson and didnae kill myself.

I loved it. And I loved it even more that  Mr Tidier was pure sheite 😬 It is the first time ever I  have picked a sport  up quicker than him.

Nobody told me though that I would need to trudge up the snow on skis sideaways  for 2 hours,  it was exhausting. Particularly when, unbeknown to me at the time, I was handicapped.

The snow boot on my left leg was so tight the whole lesson , it was agony , digging into the back of my calf, but I kept going. When I took the boot off at the end of the lesson my leg was throbbing,  I couldnt walk properly, I had to limp all the way to the car. When I got to my mums afterwards it was still killing me . I touched  the back of my calf and found a big lump but it didnt feel part of my leg. I tried to get  my hand up the leg of my jeans but  they were too tight so I asked my sistet to help. She stuck her hand up and pulled out a  pair of knickers 😳 They  were rolled up into a ball, they must have got stuck in the leg of my jeans and were pressing into my calf 😢 I still cant walj properly and that was on Sunday.

Anyway thanks everyone for encouraging me to go, I really enjoyed it and have booked  up for another lesson👍

    Well done !

Side stepping is one of those things you need to know and helps to learn how to use your edges but only done a lot on first few lessons.  Similarly learning to snowplough can be tough on the legs after a while but once you progress past that you'll find it less tiring.  That and not having knickers tucked in the back of your calves. <smile>

  7. Skiing + 1 for give it a go,  you don't have to be super fit or even fit.  You will have years of skiing ahead of you.

If you can do it a weeks holiday is the way to learn as you really progress doing it everyday.  As above private lessons will bring you on faster sometimes abroad private lessons are the same price for one or two people.

I dragged my wife into skiing over the last few years and she really enjoys it,  doing a bit of skiing and then sitting in a mountain restaurant having a coffee (or red wine).

Winter olympics starts at the weekend just to get you in the mood....

  8. Another odd email, might as well just said "please wait". Do they not know how much they are going to charge yet ?

"As 2016-17 members, you will be the first to find out when the renewal date is announced"

Lucky i'm a member, I will know when I have to renew first. Those non-members will have to wait to hear when members can renew !

  9. That last survey was odd, saying things like honestly and asking if we would re-join over and over.

Will be renewing as I feel I have to if I want easy access to tickets. I do feel that change is in the air, maybe different levels of membership, gold silver etc ?

We'll find out the day before renewals start anyway !

In that case would you agree that clubs shouldn't be allowed to sack managers during the season.

No reason managers should not get the sack if not doing their job properly.

Players/managers moving between clubs in the same league during the season their could be a conflict of interest.  Same as loaning players to teams in the same league.

Would it be fair to say that Aberdeen's best player ain't even an Aberdeen player?!

He would be following in the long old firm tradition of buying up other teams best players to weaken other teams and strengthen thier bench.

Personally as mentioned above he's not going to win the league with Rangers at the moment so on a hiding to nothing.  If he wants to go, get it done.

Still seems to have taken a long time to identify and approach a manager.
