No mate, I'm cool with it. Seen a population vote a party in when they only have one main goal, and then ........

What will be will be. I will get on with whatever outcome there is.

Ill remember that when folk start saying that not all SNP supporters want Independence ;)

Meant to say, theres speakers, stalls and stuff when the march reaches Glasgow Green, think they might be trying to get a drinks stall but feck knows whether they will. Doubt ill hang around that long, one of the speakers is Lesley Riddoch but nae idea who else there will be. Weather looks like itll be dry until late afternoonish.

Call me crazy. But I think you'd make more of an impact if 20k folk were bussed to marginal seats and campaign /canvass for the SNP to try and return 59/59 MP's next week. That would show there is demand for independence

ive done plenty canvassing and leafletting during this campaign and still have more to do in terms of targeted voters letters to be delivered and polling station duty. I sure many of the folk marching have contributed also. Its not for you, thats obvious but i cant wait personally.

This Saturday, meet 10.30 at Kelvingrove Park ( Kelvin Way entrance). March leaves 11am going to Glasgow Green via George Sq. up to 20k expected, 250 YES bikers doing their thing too. Bring the weans and family. A great opportunity to show labour and the tories their claim of no desire for a referendum is a pile of shite.

I nominated SNP MSP John Mason for his numerous foot-in-mouth moments.

Would you disagree that Kezia Dugdale and Michael Gove aren't national embarrassments to Scotland ?

Some of us regard the extreme self loathing cringe towards Scotland's culture, history, heritage and languages by some unionists to be a great national embarrassment.

I know what you're saying but I find the guy a breath of fresh air. I mind helping his campaign when he first got elected as an mp and it was a fairly easy task as he was well thought of as a councillor in the east end,  I originally joined his page to speak to him and let him know my opposition to the offensive behaviour at fitba act and whilst we didn't agree at least the guys accessible unlike a lot of politicians. There's a real shower of bangers on his page and I admire the guys patience in dealing with them, he gets asked loaded questions by folk who want to take offence at his answers, maybe that's why most politicians aren't as open as him. Aye, I don't agree with the guy on a couple of things but I find the guys openess fa from embarrassing.

Anyone actually in a half decent job would be mad to take the Rangers job just now unless there's some sort of investment coming for next season.

Only another "up and coming" coach would find it a challenge worth taking on and that would probably not go down well with the fans.

I just hope we don't take on a serial failure or under achiever like Coyle or Davies.

Itll either be a former player / manager or an unknown. No known names in football without connections to Rangers would be interested. That includes Owen Coyle, apart from the fact i doubt he'd touch the Rangers job with a shitty bargepole, this is the guy who walked away from the Celtic job because of the limitations in place at the club on spending compared to what he was used to in England.

  6. The union has to be the biggest con in history, it came about because our leaders were bribed by Daniel Defoe and other spies. If that hadnt worked the English had amassed troops at the border, called the "Rough wooing" is that any basis for a Union of equal parts? Scotland was to assume the name "North Britain", England remained England. For over 300 years our revenues have flowed south to be redistributed by London, does that make sense? We have absolutely no clout at Westminster, are ignored and occasionally mocked. Are we servile or too docile to want to run our own country, do we really believe that people in another country are somehow better placed to run our country for us? The Act of Union has been broken many, many times, does anyone care?

Russell Brand might be a lot of things but fat is definitely not one of them!!

Good innings from Andrew Sachs, thoughts with the family etc.

Is it insensitive to say Fawlty Towers is one of the most over rated comedies ever?

Andrew Sachs always came accross as a nice humble guy. I never really got into Fawlty Towers, tbh I struggle to laugh at any of it but I can mind watching it with my Dad and he would near piss himself laughing every week, mibbe its just of its time

FFS Neilly you'll be as auld as me - you'll mind the Cockatoo & the Star Bar (up near the Plaza) ??

Aye, we used to go into the Cockatoo to play pool after signing on! Was only in the Star Bar once, getting a meal with my birds familyon  a bank holiday monday (pure classy!), no sign of Ken Manners! Used to be more over the road in McNee's or Sharkeys in the Gorbals. Always the cueball at the weekend (or the Plaza if we were slumming it!)

  9. Derry Treanors ( Tucker's) in the Gorbals. We were 14. Nae bother getting served and at that age none of had anymore than 3 or 4 pints at a time, but if we got loud wee Derry told us tae shut it or he'd be asking for id's. I mind when we were 16, we'd managed in early to the Cueball in Coplaw St, my mate went to the bar and asked for 3 pints, lassie asked him pints of what and he panicked and said "anything", that was us papped right out!

  10. Its not a bigot act, its an "offensive" act and thats why the act should be repealed. One persons idea of whats offensive might not match everyone elses.

In saying that, id never sign up to anything that vacant wee dick James Kelly was organising. SNP made a severe balls up when introducing this act, i applaud them for trying but they should have just left it at sectarian abuse. The Police have also done a fine job of acting like bellends.
