  1. Went to San Siro a few years ago. Bought ticket at the ground on the day of the game.

Take your Passport with you when you buy your ticket as you won't get one without it.

  2. There will be loads of bars in Albufeira showing the game on the Thursday night and you should find plenty of bars doing 1 Euro a pint.

You've got all day to 'recce' the area.

We arrive in Alvor on the Thursday morning and will watch the game in a bar there on the Thurs night.

  3. Moved to Lincoln 28 years ago and love the place. It's a beautiful City with a beautiful Cathedral and Castle. Been married to a local girl for 24 years now and got 2 kids (21 & 17).

Like others have said , the drinking culture is different down here. Pubs are family friendly , do nice meals and I love the choice of real ales.

The climate is the big thing for me. I don't miss the rain that the West of Scotland gets.

People are friendly and plenty of Scots down here due to a lot of RAF bases (Bomber County).

I still get back up the road 2 or 3 times a year. It's a 4 hour drive or train journey.

Can't see myself ever moving back to Scotland as life is too good here :ok:

  4. Me and the wife flying to Faro (staying in Alvor) from Leeds/Bradford on Thursday 8th October for 10 days. Will watch the Poland game on tv and travel to Faro for the Gibraltar game. Been going to Alvor for 20 years. The Algarve is a fantastic destination and the Portugese will welcome the Scottish invasion :)

  5. Berlin.

Easy connection by train from Berlin-Schonefeld Airport to the City centre.

Plenty of history to look at. Checkpoint Charlie , Brandenberg Gate , Berlin Wall.

'Topography of Terror' exhibition is well worth a look. Very sobering!

Have a look on Tripadvisor at things to do in Berlin.

'Ramones Museum' Was a favourite of mine if you're into the Ramones ;)

  6. Went to the Mestalla 7 years ago for a game against Almeria.

We bought tickets at the ground on the day of the game and they were less than 20Euros.

It's a massive stadium but with it being a local derby tickets may be harder to get.

We were sat near the back of the top tier and it's not for the faint hearted if you don't like heights!!

  7. Nearest train station is East Midlands Parkway. A shuttle bus runs from there to the airport. Nottingham and Derby are the 2 nearest cities.

You could try 'The Trainline' and see what's available.

Driving is another option. Only a couple of miles from J24 of the M1.
