Clark is the standout candidate from the list.

Then there is absolutely no chance that the SFA will appoint him.

Seriously if they want to get the fans back onside it has to be Clarke. I hope to feck that Macrae and Petrie are kept as far away as possible from the recruitment process after the shambles of McLeish.

Maxwell has to get this right or his time as CE wil be short lived. Been disappointed so far in his very low profile since being appointed. This is his first big test.

  2. He was a panic appointment to take the heat of the SFA after the sacking of Regan.

Prior to that every time he was on the TV he was practically giving out his telephone number to anybody who wanted to hire a manger given his desperation to get a job.

And of course up steps his mate Macrae at the SFA and hey presto the job  yours Alex.

Total omni shambles upon omni shambles since then.

Thanks for all your finer moments Eck but now is the time to just pack it in. Your ship has well and truly sailed.

I'll ask you then - who could we go for who would take the job?

Off the top of my head, I can't come up with any suitable names but I know who I wouldn't want and that is someone whose recent record as a manager is abysmal. Step forward Alex McLeish.

Don't have an answer for you but it was another SFA mistake in his appointment.

    Not surprised tho.

He was practically begging for the job and his old mate Macrae at the SFA duly obliged. A shambolic appointment and a typical old pals act. Bin the whole fuckin lot of them

Agreed, really hope they stay down. Their football, in particular their tackles are way beyond cynical. To make things worse, they roll about and moan like  fuck when they get kicked back. Pathetic shitebags

Pathetic snowflake. Did someone in Livi steal your sweeties

Touche ma pal.  I will be supporting Livi tonight and Sunday.  I can't believe that you can't believe there is hostility on this site!  If it's no Sheep or Tim approved you will face their wrath and 'opinions' of which they are never wrong.  Experts on everything from company law to criminal psychology. (all by courtesy of Google as you will know, but experts all the same) Try being a Rangers supporter ffs.  Good luck tonight.

    Cheers. Appreciated.

  7. FFS I can't believe some of the hostility shown towards Livi on this thread. Try and remember we only came up this season from League 1 with the aim of not being relegated back down again.

We had a fraction of the budget teams Like Utd, Falkirk and Dunfermline had but still managed to cuff the lot of them and finish second. Half the guys in this squad played in League 1 last season so if you're gonna have a go at Livi for its sh*t standard of play what the f8ck does that say about the so called big teams in the Championship.

Livi have been Livi for almost 25 years now and have a new generation of fans, many of whom can't even remember Meadowbank so can we drop all the crap about franchise fc, its boring.

Now I'll grant you that we have had some dodgy owners over the years and very regrettably businesses lost money through their mismanagement. But don't forget that the club also paid a heavy price for that being dumped in the old 3rd Division (something that didn't happen to Dundee and Dunfermline btw when they had similiar problems) and having to battle its way back up the leagues on a very limited budget. The SFA has also never been slow to hit Livi in the pocket for some really feeble issues, ie being late submitting paperwork.

The fan base, yes we struggle to get fans through the turnstiles but when you're slap bang in the middle of an area overrun with Old firm glory hunters and a sizeable Hearts and Hibs following to compete against its not easy.

And finally having watched some of the live games on Sky and BT (along with highlights from that excuse for a programme Sportscene) involving premier league teams, I don't think many can complain about Livi when compared to  some of the  dam awful matches we see on the TV.

For all the fannies who booed Chris Martin tonight. Fu€$ hope you are ashamed of yourselves.

    Couldn't agree more.

I'm not a fan of Chris Martin and am as frustrated as the next person with Strachan and that chump McGhee but to single out an individual player like that is simply not on.

There is a whole list of individuals the fans could justifiably boo about the state of our game starting with Regan and Co.but Chris Martin ain't one of them.

I'm sure the guy does his best, he certainly did tonight.

According to the radio he's just been sacked by Motherwell.

Ah well that's it settled then, definitely in line for a job with the SFA. Alex Rae gets punted from St Mirren and walks straight into the Under19's coaching role. Same situation.

Put him in charge of the catering, he can add that to his glorious Wikipedia entry.

  10. Watched him make his debut for Livi as a youngster you could see even at that early age that he had the talent to make it to the top, along with Snoddgrass. One of the few things we have actually got right over the years is producing some decent youngsters.

  11. I've read it and planning to email the editor with my feedback at lunchtime. Hoping they get a wide number of guest articles. And an ability to approach international issues other than through a London prism. Also hoping they criticise the Scottish Government where necessary, don't want it to mindlessly cheerlead the SNP the way the Record does with Labour.

Indy is a grassroots organisation and the paper needs to reflect this chaos and diversity :)

I think the Editorial suggests that if the SG deserve criticism the newspaper will do it. Its all about balance and from a read of the first edition I think it will acheive that. I wish it well.

  12. GTF and the sooner the better. This man represents everything I hate about the party I used to campaign for. Arrogant, dismissive and most of all a slimey low life coward who is frightened to face an open forum just in case he can't answer questions to justify his actions........ which is just about all of them.

Wonder how those rags like the Daily Record will feel now that their beacon of light for the Union has shat it big time ...........Again

  13. Is anyone else really hating the sfa today? :(

Today, yesterday and just about everyday since I was old enough to appreciate just how much they manage to badger up running our game.

  14. I heard there were long delays getting into the North stand. Although we didn't get to the ground till 730 and had no issues. Amazes me how late people leave it to arrive.

With respect sir some have no option due to work committments and travelling distance not to mention the traffic congestion. The game should have kicked off at 8.00 to allow maximum time for fans to get there. But hey when did the powers that be ever give a Donald Duck about the fans.
