  1. 2 Friends of mine (aged 67 and 44)also part of the TA were verbally abused and had things thrown at them in a bar in Malta on the day of the game by 7-8 other so called TA fans they left after one of them threw a glass at them. They did the sensible thing in leaving (or so you would think) but this did not deter the cowards that followed them to dish out their "punishment" and to inform them that they were not welcome in the TA.  Their crime was they were were supporters of another Scottish club Rangers, and there was me thinking that club football was left at home and we all followed Scotland. I have seen behaviour as I am sure that others have that there has been a growing animosity towards all things Rangers but we are Scotland fans.  Now I have been asked by the older gentleman not to be named as he now fears being attacked in Scotland (great innit now living in fear) they have just arrived back from Malta as he was hospitalised with his injuries. My friend the 44 year old wants the story told but doesn't want to be named because of his fathers wishes. So is this what it has come to following Scotland and being a Rangers fan that you will be in fear of attack. As a consequence they have both cancelled their TA membership, both 10 pointers, they have been following Scotland for over 35 and 50 years and now will never go to a game again. This is not their first run in with other Scotland fans but as he says it's normally just verbal nonsense but this has taken a serious turn for the worst. Is this what we as fans should expect from now on?

So if you are the cowards that did this I hope you have been bragging about it so that maybe you will be caught.

Diabolical shame that 2 of our long standing TA members cannot follow their country and we have now lost the 2 of them because of this. Even the Wallace is a grass for being allegedly attacked which he says he didn't tho I'm getting into did he didn't he argument as quite simply I don't know.

Is this what we expect from now on. I'm just sickened by it all. Let's hope if any TA fans see this behaviour we will go back to our old values of policing our own as we have an exemplary record.

  2. Looking at the volume of games in a short period of time(while the domestic season is full flow) I can't imagine the top euro teams and leagues will be happy about it, especially With champ lge games either side of national games there is the potential for Players pulling out of national side with bogus injuries only to play a couple o days later for their clubs(I am aware there is a law in place at the mo to stop players playing for their club but only if the national team initiates it) but as it has been said before it's just another uefa moneymaking racket for tv audiences.

  3. Only trouble we saw was fae the 2 scottish guys who thought it'd be smart tae wear they're celtic tops an support Ireland. They wer arguing wi everybody roon em. A thought the big man wi the ginger beard wis gonna throttle em. But fair play to the stewards an polis for reacting super fast, they huckled them and ejected em swiftly and quietly. But what a good atmosphere we created.

  4. Wtf?? Ma pal works at the SFA(another debate in itsel) but he telt me that uefa are sending reps over to observe the handling of everything from the gates to crowd control. He only knows as he has been tasked wi looking efter some o them. Apparently uefa no happy wi SFAs handling of some o uefas rules. So to any Irish lads going intae the scotland end I'd maybe keep yer colours hidden if yer serious about getting in.

Personally a canny wait think this gonna be a cracking game. Mon the ALBA.

  5. A lot of Irish have bought tickets in the public sale for Lisbon Lions Lower and Lisbon Lions upper to be near their 'official' away support

They have, I know of a coach that is coming from Limerick that only has a handful of ROI supporters club members on it and the rest are 28 tickets bought in the public sale so the SFA havnt been shy in selling to Irish adresses.

The ROI fans seem to have Been buying up the Lisbon stand. I would still like to think they won't be heard over our fantastic support. But on footballing terms and not financial ones I think havin the game at parkhead is a faux pas by the SFA. The Irish are coming to a stadium they are comfortable and most o them have happy memories in, management staff included, from dressing rooms to just walking around inside the stadium they will be more at ease and relaxed than in any other scottish stadia. But nothing we did not expect from the SFA tho an extra 8-10 thou tickets to be sold means more money for them so I can see why, just from a qualification side of it...why make easy for them. But anyway I still think we'll gub them. Mon the Alba.

  6. Agree with the sentiment but no matter how painfull I will sing FOS, in the hope that we can one day rise to be a nation again.

I am only 40 and hope to see independence in my lifetime.

Alba Gu Brath ( Scotland Forever)

PS We must now focus on qualification for France 2016, that is now our aim.

    Defo.

  7. I though we wer aw gonna stand by which ever democratic decision was made and move as one nation.

Any wi nae room fur politics or religion in fitba, there's enough fitba related stuff tae argue about never politics.

I'll follow scotland anywhere I don't need anybody's approval tae tell me am Scottish and proud.

    Mon the Alba
