  1. 3 hours ago, er yir macaroon said:

McGinn will captain Scotland one day, and will be terrific for us.

I'm a big McGinn fan, I was just poking fun at Strachan's ridiculous comment about Burke not being experienced enough to play against Slovakia.

  2. These results happened in the space of 4 weeks...

    08/09/2007 Scotland 3-1 Lithuania (Euro 2008 qualifier)

    12/09/2007 France 0-1 Scotland (Euro 2008 qualifier)

19/09/2007 Rangers 2-1 Stuttgart (Champions League group E)

02/10/2007 Lyon 0-3 Rangers (Champions League group E)

03/10/2007 Celtic 2-1 AC Milan (Champions League group D)

04/10/2007 Dnipro 1-1 Aberdeen (Aberdeen qualify for UEFA Cup group stage)

  3. It's a shame McCormack has never played a game in the Premier League, and very likely never will. Vardy has shown the gap between the two leagues isn't necessarily that big if you are willing to put in the work. It's probably not worth the hassle for McCormack, he knows he is financially set for life bobbing from one Championship club to another every couple of years.

  4. amazed at how bad bosnia are. to think they were the top seeds in wales' group and the highest ranked in the playoffs. they looked like they chucked it after going 2-0 down which is just bizarre with 20 minutes to go. fair play to ireland, unreal turnaround since june.

  5. On a quiet day, when there's no football or concerts on, Glasgow traffic is generally crawling speed from 4-6 in the evening. Throw in a massive gig at the Hydro, and 50k at Hampden you should really aim to be in Glasgow for 4pm at latest for 7:45 kick off.

I'm lucky I stay within walk of Hampden, hope everyone got home safe last night.

  6. we've been here before, tonight was the exact same as italy 2007... let in goal after 3 mins, get back into game only to concede cruelly with last kick of the ball to knock us out.

  7. Naismith scored a perfect hat-trick against the champions, the commentators on the stream I'm watching can take it or leave it. I reckon if that was Barkley they wouldn't be able to talk about anything else.
