A few too many over the years, these are the ones which spring to mind first:
England, Euro 96 (never went from such a 'potential' high to such a low so quickly)
England 99, Hampden (did not deserve to lose that match)
England 99, Wembley (should have won by at least 2 clear goals and qualified)
Belgium, Hampden (up 2 nil against an average 10 man Belgium side, drew 2-2. ultimately cost us qualification)
My recollection of the home game vs England was that although we had a couple of decent chances (Gallacher and Dodds?), overall we were a bit flat and it wasn't too tough a win for England. Our performance at Wembley was much better though.

Nathan Barley first appeared in Charlie Brooker's spoof TV listing website TV Go Home:

Some interesting programmes there!

I had a look at Environment Canada website, and you guys have got some serious windchill coming up soon! Edmonton has had a few of these already this winter.
Have last year's Polar Vortex (early January 2014) to thank for an extended Xmas/New Year trip then - was due to fly back via London-Chicago-Edmonton, but due to numerous flight cancellations in USA/Canada had to stay in Chicago for an extra couple of days rather than return to work as planned. I was really upset about that...

No - it's Phil Lynott....

I've played the Canadian version a couple of times - even those "nice" Canadians have some pretty crude answers! Several of which include their PM Stephen Harper

Yeah, my friends wanted to see the film based on reading the book earlier - I'm glad they dragged me along too. It is quite an eventful film!

I really liked "The 100 Year Old Man who Climbed out the Window and Disappeared", although I don't think it was a "blockbuster". Swedish film - very offbeat and funny....

What is Harvards motto?
If you head south from Detroit, which country will you land in?
If you head east from New York, which country will you land in?
What the northernmost city to host the Summer Olympics?
"You have to be stinking rich to study here"? (not sure!)
Canada - the very SW tip of Ontario is across the water from Detroit.
Portugal?
Helsinki?

I have lost count of the amount of times I have fallen asleep on the northern line and been woken up by the driver at Morden. Luckily I live two stops away so it's walkable. My worst two are
Getting chucked out a club in London for being too drunk. Walked to Waterloo and got the last train back to Sydenham, fell asleep and woke up in Caterham. 3 night buses later I got in at 5.35am and my alarm went off at 5.45am for work.
After a rather heavy session in Kingston I was trying to get back to my flat in Sutton. Left the pub at about 1.00am and fell asleep on the bus back to to Sutton, woke up in Croydon. Decided to get another bus back, fell asleep and woke up at heathrow. Bus back in the opposite direction back to Sutton. Got in at 7.00am but luckily did not have work and was well rested.
Yeah, you can clock up some epic drunken "extended journeys" in Greater London!
I used to live in Lewisham, and have woken up on trains in Dartford, Barnehurst, Woolwich, and somewhere in the Bromley area. A great way to check out the suburbs! (not)

It must be terribly sad being a 24 year old Dons fan and the best player you've ever seen in a red shirt is Dave Bus.
I wonder if he went into coaching after he finished playing?
I'll get my coat...

you'll be thinking of Octavia Buttox , the legendary Roma winger
Yes - he is a descendant of Incontinentia Buttox - the wife of Biggus Dickus from Monty Python's Life of Brian.......

whats your stance on fellatio
Not a bad player - should get a call up to the Italy squad soon.
I'll get my coat.......

My first away trip.
Our support that day was phenomenal. Probably not bettered since IMO.
Do you mean in terms of numbers? (I think there might have been more in Paris 2007?)
-
I remember Paul McDonald - pacy little winger. I think he went to Southampton along with another Hamilton player? (which one?)
Also, Adrian Sprott (great name!) scored at Ibrox to knock Rangers out of the cup also around that time.

Mod 11 wouldn't be so subtle. He's on his way over with a bazuca.
Is that a more compact version of a bazooka?

Ginger Baker always came across as a bit mental so ....
This was an interesting documentary about Ginger Baker - brilliant drummer but definitely bonkers:

RIP Jack Bruce.

If we stick with 4 strikers per squad (previously 3), and the obvious first 2 being Naismith and Fletcher, then we are basically deciding who will be the 'back up' and 'the sub'.
It's between Martin, McCormack, Rhodes and Griffiths (when playing) for that sub spot. Not much between them all in terms of quality. But I think we'd all be in agreement that they are not the long term solution.
The 4th spot in the squad should be to try new guys; like Stevie May, Johhny Russell and Tony Watt. Not quite ready yet, but could potentially be the answer to our "goals problem".
How has McCormack been playing recently? (not a "trick question" - just wondering)
