  1. Isn't it absolutely fukkin tragic that when ...

    • three quarters of the denizens of Ibrox (a.k.a. "the minority") bounce up and down singing repeatedly about what they are up to their knees, and
    • a bunch of retards from the other cheek let off fireworks in a 5 deep terrace in the middle of nowhere whilst also singing shanties of the old country

... that their wee moronic foot soldiers and the press circle the wagons and call it "atmosphere".

Scotland's shame the pair of them - heaven help the rest of us when this relationship is rekindled next season.

  2. If you google the issue you might get some tips from others that have had the same problem

Ive always been a pay as you go man (in more ways than one) and avoided super dooper fancy phones

Have always just stuck to a middle of the road android with fairly good internet access and top up a tenner a month

I wholeheartedly agree with this - got a 15 quid a month deal including lots of data with tesco and the phone/android is ample and would only cost 40 quid to replace if fukked - doesn't help OP I know as he'll perhaps have to swallow 10 months remaining on contract while also getting a new phone.

Bottom line is these bits of kit are simply not built to last - know loads of folk stung short of full term on a 2 year contract having to take out a second phone.

  3. That's what I was wondering.

4k is a total swizz - as per deecie it's all marketing bollocks to keep the industry afloat and keep people turning over new kit every few years - in technical terms the difference in quality between your what your eyeballs registers will make no discernible difference to a 1080p TV unless you opt for a 4k with a horrendously big screen size and huge dent in your wallet - you should see a difference potentially above 60 inch screen but you'll be eating beans for years!

  4. Maybe we should just have a seeded knockout competition with all 232 member countries until you get to the last 32; then it can be held every couple of years. Can you imagine the away trips if we get to play the Pitcairn Islands, The Bahamas and the Maldives every now and then?

It's meant to be a world cup but instead qualifying for the WC is just another heavy fkin boring Euros - playing the same group of teams and getting pumped more often than not cyclically every 2 years - would love to see some jetlagged teams crossing 10 timezones and having to play at Hampden on a pishing wet and cold Wednesday night!

With all the corruption (allegedly) pervasive throughout the associations it would be much better scrapping the current geographical/association qualifiers and opening it up to either a world stage knockout or group stage - might make going out every 4 years a bit more interesting.

  5. Pathetic interview from Laura Keunnnnssberg there...

"Will you kneel before the Queen? Will you? Will you? Will you???"

I saw this as well - rounding off a disturbing day of establishment reporting on Corbyn which included one TV hack giving us a run down this morning on what he was wearing :wtf: whilst another commenting on PMQ's mentioned that it was difficult to see beyond his beard :wtf:

Koeennigzeg-zeg-zeggggg's interview was a complete and utter embarrassment - and an affront to decent journalism - and she's apparently a Jags fan too.

Seen this standard of reporting before .... !

  6. Surley of Louis thought anything of it he would have said?

    Johnson missed the putt anyway...

    And?

It's an automatic 2 stroke penalty - the ball travelled directly over the spot he tapped down meaning it was on his line - with the penalty noted his first putt would have been his fifth shot & he should have carded a six for that hole meaning Oost would have won the championship.

I do understand how it was missed - match referee was most probably making his way off the green due to ruling on the other spot ... whilst Oost was concentrating on his own line/putt & Leishman was probably gutted and had switched off.

I rather think he has been a lucky lad and got away with it.

I also seem to remember ZJ had a serious putting issue at the final hole of another tournament a few years back where he hit his putt from the wrong spot - I might be mistaken though.

  7. doesn't matter who wins ... they'll just be a filler until the messiah (miliband) or some other posh tory-lite twat makes themselves available to take up the reins for the next election.

personally hope Corbyn gets in based on this interview - as he's got a fine temper (kicks off from 8.04) -

  8. Seems a bit over the top to install one of these to stop some local kids engaging in healthy pursuits in kicking a ball.

Some retail outlets in Glasgow use these alarms to deter the 'yoof' from hanging around but these are not normally in residential areas - they emit a high frequency of about 17 to 20 kHz which is in the 'normal' hearing range for humans (of 20 to 20,000 Hz) but as us oldies advance in years our ability to pick up the top end of the frequency scale diminishes rapidly so we don't pick up these frequencies.

He is right to be wary where your kids are concerned as I would assume the sound/noise level of the alarm will be quite high (> 80 decibels) and long term exposure to sound levels above this can lead to long term hearing damage - as well as causing localised issues like headaches, sickness, disorientation etc. This sound will also penetrate your home given that range so would affect them indoors too.

As dogs can detect frequencies up to the mid 40kHz, the alarm would be just less than a mid-range frequency for them and so probably would be no more than an irritant.
