  1. According to bert kassies, the Polish league is roughly at the same level as the Scottish league.

    Legia Warsaw seem to do roughly as well as Celtic in Europe, and Lech Poznan seem to do roughly as well as a team like Aberdeen.

    So, to try and put it into perspective, Barry Douglas is doing well at a team roughly equivalent to Aberdeen.

    I would imagine that puts him 'on the radar', but not much more.

    I seen lech Poznan play man city a few year back and absolutely boss them infront of 43,000 fans, see the recent Legia Warsaw v Celtic game? Lol

  2. Look at the Poland fans lads. Intimidating chants that must get their players buzzing, meanwhile we are singing doh a dear FFS.

    When we gonna get our finger out and get some proper football songs and chants

  3. Re 1320lichtie and his "not seeing the point of it" for NI, I'd say we got the following out of it.

    1. Three of our important players got some much-needed match practice;

    2. Michael McGovern (our 3rd choice keeper, btw) showed that if we ever should need to throw him in, he's not likely to be troubled by nerves;

    3. Paddy McNair showed that he's nowhere near ready to play for the Senior team, whereas Stuart Dallas showed he may be;

    4. Michael O'Neill indicated that having a match would break up the "sameyness" of a week away in a training camp.

    Besides, as you indicated yourself, it will have been good practice for 2018, when we may have to defend a 1-0 lead in the WC Final... :wink2:

    Dallas was quite good, McNair awful, would love to have Evans for us, decent game for McGovern

  4. S Fletcher/Anya/Maloney and Martin were our only players you could call A team out of that last night

    Marshall/Hutton/Robertson/Hanley/Brown/Morrison and Naismith missing

    Still strolled it, I don't see the point of doing what they did in a friendly, nothing to lose and they play like they're defending a 1-0 lead in a WC final all night

  5. My strongest line up

    Marshall

    Hutton

    Martin

    Berra

    Robertson

    Brown

    Morrison

    Russell/Maloney

    Naismith

    Anya

    Fletcher

    What I would like to see tonight

    Gordon

    Hutton

    Martin

    Berra

    Robertson

    Brown

    Fletcher

    Ritchie

    Naismith

    Anya

    Rhodes

    He has been very clear in the fact he is wanting all players to get onto the pitch at somepoint over the two games.

  6. I cant seem to access this at my work but was working last night:

    Something not right if this isn't good enough for us.

    Cheers mate. Any more is appreciated. I've seen plenty of him but it's hard to find exactly where I saw it.

    The saving grace is the fact his dad said he will need to see what the situation is like when he's 21, 2 years away, he's still wanting to play for us just now.

  7. I've seen plenty of highlights of this guy through trawling twitter but they are hard to find now im looking again, I've seen his goals and assists in the youth UCL games as recently as a few month ago, anyone able to help me find this again? Cheers

  8. How tall does he have to be he is 6ft 1 ffs!!!

    That mindset is ludicrous and appaling for a youth team coach of a national team. Get him to . A petition might make people aware of his incredible comments?

  9. Strawman argument.

    I'm talking about Gannon's assertion that a Scottish person - with no connection to Brazil at all - would rather play football for Brazil than for Scotland because Brazil are a better team.

    Apologies
