Wellness Step Hotel Prague 9,3 nights for £82.Hotel has swimming pool so thats where I will be before the pubs open.

What time do the pubs open? Because I want to make it to your hotel beforehand to have a look at this.

Or is the pool filled with beer?

Friday Sun and some cloud max temp 11 min 2

So weather much the same as here.

Feks me. I didn't realise they got the haar in Prague as well.

    See you over there.

  3. So they dont know each other, they just wait for a call basically and they all move?

Exactly. Will be many sleeper cells around Paris, waiting for the word from Allah. All this has been planned well in advance.

When the call comes, you do what the man says.

Cells may guess there are other cells in the area, but have no idea of who or where, just in case one spills the beans.

I'm very pleased that we are letting thousands more into europe every day.

Think i'll pack up and move to the middle east. It will be safer there soon.

  4. I agree - saw the whole game without needing to evacuate the bladder.

Like the swally (sic) but, the game is more important than the scoop - IMHO - but each to his/her own.

Perhaps being chaperoned by your daughter may have had something to do with it.

Or wishing to stay sober to ensure daughter not abducted by strange men. Aka Zico and JS

  5. Isn't your rooftop bar 24 hrs ?

You keep me a wee corner in your room pal....including big enough for Zico, Alex an Aileen, Wibble, Taunton Tartan, Wrighty, Kai, Pam fae Leeds, Dave Tenerife etc :yikes3:

I've been looking through my cookery books and couldn't find the recipe for disaster.

I look on the TAMB and I find it. Take some Zico, Alex an Aileen, Wibble, Taunton Tartan, Wrighty, Kai, Pam fae Leeds, Dave Tenerife etc, add some alcohol, music, a wee drop of Jock Strap, leave to stand for 2 hours, because after that they will be incapable of standing.

  6. Whilst SF isn't banging in the goals for us; he does a lot of link play allowing the midfields to come in to play. Rhodes is obviously a goal scorer but I cant see the hold up and link play in his game; he is an out and out striker, which means he doesn't fit in to GS's style.

I agree a plan B is needed and with Matt Richie in form he is a really good option to have and if we need to push for goals then Rhodes is surely an option if we change to 4-4-2 with SF feeding him.

    My plan B

In the games against the top teams SF hasn't been effective as a striker, but he has created chances for others, from a midfield position.

Would like to see him drop off and play behind a pair of strikers, Naismith and Chris Martin. Naismith is used to playing with a big striker up front at Everton, and a he showed the other week, is a goalscorer too.

When Martin came on against the boche, he at least started to get in their faces, and is a big strong lad that a lot of defenders don't like playing against, SF hasn't shown that side of his game yet.

  7. If looking for a hotel, I would chose one from the following.......... Hotel Ukraine (large hotel over looking Independence Square.... I got a suite in here for the grand total of £25 a night!!!)..... Hotel Kosatsky on Independence Square (very cheap), or just around the corner Hotel Dnipro (opposite Dynamo Square..... but I would not feel good staying in here as this is one of the hotels Snipers were taking out people during the protests).

Will surprise you just how compact the center is when on Independence square (there is a massive shopping mall right under this, which is great to walk through), and when it gets dark, head in the direction of the Dynamo Stadium, but take a left up the hill towards the Friendship Arch, for one of the best views of the city you will find (this is also where the young people in the city hang out at night to chill with a beer and meet up with friends.

I stayed in the Kozatsky Hotel for 5 days when we played there. Very cheap and close to everything.

Bit of a panic on the saturday morning though, as the square was filled with thousands of protesters.

I would recommend booking a reputable taxi firm and book on line if you can for transfers between the airport and city.

Mine cost a bit more than expected, and I had a welcoming committee of three friends of the driver when I got to the airport.

  8. Lol sorry but this post is a nonsense.

Lots of other variables to take into account, society and attitude to football is completely different to 40 years ago. Its not as simple as copying the league format and getting the same sized crowds.

Like I said teams had even bigger crowds in the 40's and 50's so why did they drop? League reconstruction? Let's copy the 50's model and Hibs will get 40,000 crowds next week.

You could smoke in pubs then and gay marriage was illegal. Let's reverse them and crowds will boom. Same validity as your argument.

    Why is it nonsense?

These figures are taken from various newspaper clippings of the day. Do you want to know the crowd when Montrose beat Hibs 3-1 after being down 1-0 from the game at Easter Road?

Personally I would prefer it to go back to the two leagues, as you used to play more teams throughout the season.

If you read my previous posts correctly, you will see that I am blaming TV for the death of football as we know it, and the reduction in attendance figures.

I agree with you in changing attitudes. Kids would prefer to sit on their arses all day watching the Ronaldos, Beckhams, Messis of this world, or playing it on their playstaions. We never had that option in our days.

Peever and myself used to use trees, or jumpers for goalposts, and rather than one of those overpaid Prima Donnas, we used to be a Charlie Guthrie, Kenny Watson or Harry Johnson, et al.
