Positive Protest At Georgia

I'll still be going with my brother in law & best mate (both voted no for various reasons) both of them are proud Scots & love our national team, they just had their own personal reasons for voting no, and to me thats fair enough.

There will be plenty that voted No, so IMO the 45 stuff is just divisive & doesn't help anyone.

Quite frankly I can't understand that attitude. If you voted No why are you supporting a regional team of the UK?

You've voted not to be a nation but follow the not national team?

Can you see the problem here?

FoS is dead as an anthem, especially since we are not actually a nation now. I won't be chanting anything and won't be singing any anthem. It would choke me. Any No voter who sings FoS is either a hypocrite or a simpleton. I will be supporting the team but that is it.

You are right in one respect you can’t or choose not to understand opposing arguments ,all this demonstrates is a lack of understanding

If you also believe that people who do not share your opinions inherit lesser rights to national identity , your argument resonate’ s strongly with the mantra of the National Socialist German Workers' Party :

The great majority of a nation is so feminine in its character and outlook that its thought and conduct are ruled by sentiment rather than by sober reasoning. This sentiment, however, is not complex, but simple and consistent. It is not highly differentiated, but has only the negative and positive notions of love and hatred, right and wrong, truth and falsehood."

if your support and respect for fellow Scotland fans is conditional on getting your own way then you truly are a luddite -

I voted No as the argument wasnt made for me - I will always keep my heart and mind open and I hope one day we can be independent ,but for me in the here and now the conditions are not right it doesnt add up was sure of that regardless of the pledge

Your vote doesnt give the monoply on being Scottish, the vote wasnt on who is or isnt Scottish infact the Yes campaign used this many many times in their argument so you cant have it both ways

Many English voted Yes too, - I respect those who voted and campaigned for Yes , but if you are going to predjudice others based on their opinion then your are just as bad as the idiots on George sq on Friday night same mentality- different flag

Is this a serious post? I know a lot of guys on our bus who voted no, so you are saying they should stop following the Scotland FOOTBALL team and should refrain from singing the anthem?

Well they should at least show some humility and not sing "for we can still rise now and be a nation again" when they gave up the opportunity to do just that.

A No voter can be as patriotic as yes voter unfortunately our leaders did not have the concrete answers for the remaining 55%. maybe next time...

Patriotic Brit maybe but never a patriotic Scot.

This I'm just as proud to be Scottish if I vote no rubbish is pathetic. No your not. Proud to be British maybe but not Scottish.

Can you imagine anyone in other countries who won their independence say I'm just as proud to be irish/norweegian etc but not want them to exist as a nation and actively try to stop their independence.

Everyone entitled to an opinion (and the vast majority voted against across the country/LA's) unfortunately it's our (Scotland) culture that needs to change as well as the country (Britain). I will happily admit I was one on the fence with my heart saying 'yes' and head saying 'no'. In my personal circumstances there was not enough clear answers to justify a yes vote.

However anyone telling me I cannot support Scotland as much as your next Scottish person can go s***e. It's opinions like above that I think will make the atmosphere pants over the next couple of games. That alongside the scum culture we may encounter heading towards Ibrox. We were part of Britain prior to the vote and there was never any of this chat at Scotland games (I have been attending since 96' so why now do the 'apparent' hardcore TA fans think they will achieve anything by splitting the country further with a political statement. Never mind the SFA discouraging the fans with ticket prices this will only disgruntle fans further. Only one loser... the team!

Genuinely think they guys are overstating their influence. Political preference in the main will be left at home. Those who attempt to break the unity of the scotland fans will look rather silly

As long as it's positive in making for a great atmosphere for the team I am all for it! however anyone questioning my (and many thousands that attend Scotland games) loyalty to Scotland will be a clear example of the ignorance some Yes voters have.

Looking like the stadium will only be 3/4 full max anyway, disappointing.

My intention on starting this thread was to highlight we needed to get behind the team, not start another yes/no debate. Having reflected on it I don't think any protest is necessary, just getting behind the team like we did in Germany is enough, when the support was as good as I've heard it in the last 15 years.

We've our best team and manager for many years, yet the stadium may only be 3/4 full due to the SFAs pricing policy:(

So damn annoying when we often have amongst the highest crowds across Europe even for International friendlies.

Still can't believe the ticket prices!
