Parklife
Chris Martin has to play. He was "outstanding" on Saturday.
sbcmfc
There's no way we'll go with the OP away from home. Will be 4-5-1 and decent chance Martin will be the 1. Can't see wholesale changes, McArthur for fletcher, and Burke might drop to the bench.

Exactly - I'm sick to the back teeth of hearing about how you have to play with one up front these days. "You'll get ran over in midfield with two up front" so and so forth. We had every man back inside our own box at every Lithuania corner / free kick on Saturday and its high time we started concerning ourselves about how positive we can be in a match. But it won't happen.....
Alan
Marshall - GK Patterson - RB Martin - CH Berra - CH Robertson - LB McArthur - CM Morrison - CM Snodgrass - RM Burke - AM Forrest - RM Griffiths - CF Hanley dropped for Berra. Bannan is a "luxury" player. Need 2 people in middle who are experienced and proven instead of cheeky passes and moves which failed on Saturday. Forrest in as he knows how Griifiths plays. Griffiths in as he scored over 30 goals last season.
vanderark14
Strachan is going to play the exact same system he always does, he doesn't know or even want to know any other system. Until he opens his mind or gets sacked we are going nowhere.

I can only assume you are alooking for a reaction Alan - well done, you got one.
Alan
Ritchie was very poor. Don't think MacKay is good enough. No other winger. He's playing regularly for Celtic.
runningtings
Martin, Ritchie, Forrest can GTF, D. Fletcher appears to be injured. I'd go with: Plan A; -------------------- Marshall Paterson ----- Hanley ---- Martin  ------ Tierney ----------- McArthur  --------- Morrison Anya  ---------------------------------- Robertson ---------- Snodgrass ------------------------- Griffiths Plan B: Burke to come on for Anya with S. Fletcher replacing Robertson and Snoddy going wide, going 4-1-3-2 and more attacking. -------------------- Marshall Paterson ----- Hanley ---- Martin  ------ Tierney -------------------- McArthur Burke  ------------ Morrison ---------- Snodgrass ---------- S. Fletcher -------- Griffiths

Guys like Anya and Naismith are just better suited to playing away from home. Both will offer a good out-ball and are pacey on the break. McArthur will be given the man-marking job on Hamsik. andyD
I think we probably will play: Marshall Paterson - Martin - Berra - Robertson  McArthur- Bannan Snodgrass - Burke - Anya Fletcher I sort of wish we would play: Marshall Martin - Berra - Tierney Paterson - - McArthur - - Roberston  Maloney - Burke - Snodgrass  Fletcher But to be honest i dont think it matters particularly. Whichever side we put out, we can win the game.. the question is whether we're going to play with the required workrate and effort needed to win. If the lackadaisical, low-tempo scotland who have too often turned up under the last.. who knows how many managers, then we're stuffed regardless of personnel or formation. i'm not a believer in chris martin, but even if we put out the same team to a man as played lithuania, we could win, if we actually put in the work to play high tempo, press, move off the ball and make sure of our passes. Caledonian Craig
We need a team that has goals in it as our defence is just as likely to ship goals so we need to counter-balance that. I'd go with something like this:- Marshall  Patterson Martin R Hanley Robertson  Bannan McArthur Burke Snodgrass  Fletcher Griffiths

robertrcorr
Tighten up midfield to stifle their creative players and inject some pace up the park with Anya and Griffiths. Drop Hanley after two weak performances and employ Burke as impact sub if required. ----------------Marshall Patterson Martin Berra Robertson -----------Fletcher McArthur ----------Snodgrass Bannan Anya ---------------------Griffiths Edited October 10, 2016 by robertrcorr

jamboman
Marshall Paterson, Martin, Berra, Tierney McArthur Bannan Burke, Snodgrss, Robertson Griffiths  Let Robertson play in front of Tierney, he is our best attacking wide player. Griffiths to actually move up front and snograss and burke to make runs in support. If we play martin up on his own Skrtel will murder him.
