Secret ballot at NEC.

Looking like more and more possible that Corbyn will be removed from his position.

Looking more and more possible that Labour will be removed from the political landscape.

Scottish Labour have missed a trick. They ought to have formed a breakaway party years ago.

So 60% of the membership backed Corbyn yet almost all the labour MP's want him dead. If they remove him they will face the unimaginable wrath of 60% of the people who voted for them.

This has an unstoppable force meets immovable object feel to it all. Hard to see Labour staying together if they kill Corbyn. The membership and grass roots support will go one way and most of the current MP's will go another way and it will be a self inflicted massacre at the next GE. Who knows who will win in the resulting carnage but you'd have to think it will be the right wing big time. The left look weak and rubbish right now. So any old shite on the right that is semi competent will win landslide after landslide.

The road to hell...

The propaganda campaign is in full swing.

It's always funny when the sham that is democracy is revealed in small ways.

An absolute sham indeed.

Just watching Eagle on the news talking about her smashes window and 'threats' and getting away concluding that the 'bullying has to stop - Jeremy has to go'.

How the feck does someone get to attribute bullying to him in such a way and get away with it completely unchallenged and then have it as headline news. It bloody stinks.

George Orwell would love this or think it beyond satire

- A leader criticised simultaneously for being weak/inept, and being too powerful/controlling

- Rebels attacking the leader and threatening to split the party... in the name of unity

- Indecisive opportunistic backstabbers labelled 'courageous'

- Both sides accusing the other of fighting each other instead of the Tories

etc etc

Easy with a compliant/lazy media.  I wouldn't put it past them to have put the window in themselves.

Remember how at every European Championship and World Cup you'd get a story about some random English person being attacked in Scotland by person or persons unknown.  Attacks that were all over the media but where there were no witnesses and no-one was ever charged let alone convicted.

They work because most reasonable people believe that it's possible some nutter would do that.

Funny that we haven't had any of these in either 2014 or 2016.  I wonder why that might be, especially given that there's a much more heightened political atmosphere in Scotland.

Why would anyone who is not a Tory want the the right wing to win? Just check out ersatz's post on Angela the Eagle..

You can also add to that, a party that only stands in Scotland becoming the UK's only effective opposition party !

Corbyn on the ballot.  Let's see who's got the bollocks to stand against him.

Exactly they all talked let's see who walks. There is a reason they tried to stop in being a voting option.

Re your first paragraph, not all Labour voters are Labour Party members. In fact most of them won't be.

UK versions of Labour, Tories, LibDems no longer have a mandate in Scotland.

John frae Banff on Kaye Adams and his ilk have to face that the UK political system has increasingly failed Scotland and is no longer viable in our country.

If there was ever any doubt before the EU referendum, then it's all been removed now.

Scotland owes it to her people to take full charge of its own governance. Anything less now would be irresponsible.
