Had a wee look at our results against Wales since 1997 (didn't play each other between the famous 1985 game and 1997) and our record is simply shocking:

Beaten 1-0 at Rugby Park in a 1997 friendly thanks to a John Hartson goal (maximum respect for the big man though :ok:). Anyone remember this game ? Christian Dailly, Davie Weir, Neil Sullivan, Simon Donnelly and Brian McAllister all made their Scotland debuts in that game. Hold on a second, who the heck was Brian McAllister  ? I've honestly never heard of him !

Beaten again in 2004 and 2009. We finally win against them in 2011 during the three nations tournament but are beaten again by Wales in 2012 and 2013.

A real bogey team. Five defeats and one solitary win since 1997.

Brian McAllister - Wimbledon Cb or LB in their pretty decent team of mid to late 90's. Don't think he won many caps though

Aye, i was at it. End of season low key game.

Think there was only 9000 odd there. Highlight was seeing Scottish Cup paraded, as we'd won it previous week.

3 caps.... Belarus, Wales and Malta.

Was well worth his call up at the time, as season 96-97 he was a rock in the Wombles defense beside Perry, Cunningham, Blackwell and Kimble, but then fissiled out the following season (Lost his place and when he was involved, it was in a number of thumping results... ie 6-2 to Spurs and 5-0 to Arsenal etc) and emigrated to New Zealand not long after.
