Huddersfield Posted January 27, 2020 Share Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) So my J contribution starts with my vote for the best cover version in history: Countless heavy rock bands have gone down the 'in league with the devil' road, & I've heard umpteen radio presenters claiming 'Sympathy For The Devil' & a couple of other Stones tracks were where it started. But the Stones themselves have acknowledged this is where it really began. Johnson cultivated a story that he'd met the Devil at a crossroads & sold his soul. However, she decided that I made her laugh so much she ended up agreeing (stupidly) that I was worth 30+ years, 2 kids & 2 grandkids (to date). And I still can't dance.
