fishcumnock
Because Tansey's agent felt him £200,000 was enough to get him.
sbcmfc
So Tansey said no. Shame Aberdeen let Goodwillie go, doubt that would have been an issue...
deecie
It can't be anyone other than aberdeens fault that they didn't sign the player assuming he was willing to join them. They didn't offer enough money to the selling club. Seems pretty simple. He failed his medical.

adamntg
Because Tansey's agent felt him £200,000 was enough to get him. Surely he needs a lawyer then? If it's breach of contract between Tansey and ICT I'd imagine that Tansey would have to take the club to court.
fishcumnock
Same lawyer as fat Mike hopefully.
TartanJon
I know for a fact Tansey was desperate to come.He spoke to an Aberdeen player earlier in the day and told them the deal was on only to phone back a short while later and say there's no chance he was going to Pittodrie. BTW that bog standard run of the mill generic statement on the ICT website doesn't say anything about Aberdeen not meeting the valuation or the player didn't want to come. Aberdeen had one last week saying Paul Quinn couldn't settle in Aberdeen so he wanted to move back to Dingwall , I didn't believe that one either. Mox
What are people's thoughts on having transfer windows ? Is it better or fairer for clubs and football in general ? I've always maintained that there should just be the summer window and that's it. I doubt very much however that the January window will ever be done away with. adamntg
And you should only be able to use 22 players or whatever.
AberdeenAngus
I agree with that. Pick your squad for the year and stick with it. Should apply to managers as well. Not opposed to something like that but the lawyers would have a field day.
adamntg
They could have a field day just now if they really wanted to.
