I went there for four nights in the summer. Good city with the added bonus of having the panda breeding centre. Very modern place and the food was great. 10 days is probably a better period of time to get to grips with it as it felt like a massive, sprawling place and we barely made a dent. If you've never been to China it'll be exciting but it's not as as interesting a place as Beijing. Do the panda place though. Your hotel will sort out a taxi for you.
