wanderer
Encouraging news today. Seems like the media over hyped it and looks like game will still be in Portugal, be it in Faro with a new security firm in place, or somewhere else in Portugal (not ideal, but can live with that). http://www.irishpost.co.uk/sport/gibraltar-fa-confirms-ireland-qualifier-will-go-ahead-portugal
Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Aye , looks like Faro if the new security company come up to scratch . We are still asking all our members to email Gibralter as we have shelled out a load of cash to book up .

Howitt10
craven cottage would do me again fantastic atmosphere the last time against the nigerians aye if its going to be London, Craven Cottage would be best choice i think as you said cracking atmosphere last time plus think we could fill it due to it being a potential match we need to win to qualify. deecie
No to Craven Cottage. Or Wembley. Or The Emirates. I'm open to almost any other suggestions though.

Gala Tartan Army (Borders)
Looking like Portugal . One of our members who contacted Gibraltar about compensation has had two optimistic emails over the weekend ,saying that they have just got a tax matter to sort out . The emails seemed pretty keen to play down the prospect of a change of venue .

The emails seemed pretty keen to play down the prospect of a change of venue . Got a email over the weekend also. Doesn't go into great detail, but impression they give is they want to avoid heading to London for the games and was nothing more than a heat of the moment comment that the press picked up on. They still expect the game to be in Portugal, and just a case of getting around the table with the security firms and the owners of the stadium (Portuguese Government) to have some talks to settle all this.
