ankles Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 As this game draws nearer, i'm thinking about the atmosphere on the day etc. We have a noisy , large away support but our selection of songs are absolutely dire. Three tunes and we run out of options. Our away support should be bouncing about like the Dortmund fans. Wish we could come up with some thing better than Doe a Deer.
Gala Tartan Army (Borders) Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Twist and Shout has to be the new tune, superb.
gallus79 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Agree ' twist and shout' , I was hoping it would catch on with us after seeing Coventry fans sing it. There's a cracking Glasgow band called Prides who I'm daft on. Any of there 3 songs Messiah, Out of the blue, I should know you better. And years ago for France 98 was there not a song called Scotland United? Or was that bands name? Anyway a cracking song the chorus alone would sound great in the stands. If anyone is good enough to post lyrics.
FANDABBYDOZZY Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 one for Saturday could be he paid for your ground he paid for your ground Sepp Blatter he paid for your ground
cwilliamson85 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 one for Saturday could be he paid for your ground he paid for your ground Sepp Blatter he paid for your ground [/quote England fans have just sang that but instead of ground they said grass.
Goozay Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Time to resurrect this one as I first heard it at Lansdowne Road at the friendly in 2000 We hate Coca Cola We hate Fanta too We're the Tartan Army And we drink Irn Bru (Altogether now...)
Navy Blue Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Twist and Shout has to be the new tune, superb. After seeing the Well fans sing it for ages whilst being kept behind at Ibrox , that would be my choice as well.
fringo Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 After seeing the Well fans sing it for ages whilst being kept behind at Ibrox , that would be my choice as well. Any clips online ?

scottincarlisle Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 The away end in the Aviva is quite snug so if it gets going it should be good
Goozay Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Dear god. If we start singing that on Saturday I'm walking out. Nah, you won't. http://youtu.be/ZbsI72gebz0 Magic, but needs a decent drummer to sustain it.
Scotunited Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Coventry fans https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=s5gOBj0PK0Y
Donaldo87 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 one less song for me to learn Feel free to start singing since I was young as well haha
Kiltedsteamer147 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Nah, you won't. You're right because people won't sing it. ?
peever1745 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 How about something from the Big Country song book?
fringo Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 You're right because people won't sing it. It used to be.
Kiltedsteamer147 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 It used to be. I've been going to Scotland games for many a year and I can't remember that song being sung. Mind you, it's fair to say I haven't always been 100% sober at the games. ?
fringo Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 Wasn't so much at games probably, but I seem to remember it being sung a bit in the Grand Place in 2001.
kmcca5 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 We used to sing twist and shout at Stirling Albion games in the early nineties.
