I just think that spending £5.6 million (assuming a 4 year deal on £20k/wk) on a player who's barely played any first team football in his career is a massive risk. He might be a cracking player, i genuinely do not know. I just think it's a very expensive risk. Agree with that, but at least it's a gamble, as opposed to throwing money down the drain giving players their final pay day.I have questioned the constant praise Celtic get for their recruitment. I do wonder if the 5 duds they sign for every good one really does balance the books? For every Gary hooper, there's a scepovic, Murphy or Bangura, for every Wanyama, there's a Rogic, Blackman or myoukolo.... Mark McGhee made him captain at motherwell after Phil O'donnell died and I believe he was captain at Ross county too. Was a good player, bit mental off the park! I presume he's calmed down a bit, being a footballer in his late 20s I'd be amazed if he hasn't got kids by now. He does appear to have been a bit of a boy! He may well be a cracking signing but there's little to Base any assessment on as he's barely played.Is he really the defender that Celtic are pinning their Champions League hopes on?
