Staying In Cork

Recommended Posts

Staying in Cork Thurs-Sunday.

Aer Lingus flights from Glasgow and Edinburgh still good value I believe.

Nicer place than Dublin, and on the Friday night Cork City are at home to Bray......

Only a couple of hours on the train to Dublin with a carry-out and sing-song with the Cork TA....and no doubt some Irish lads.

Cannae wait.

Same here Colin in that hotel, only Thurs - Sunday for us....fancy the game on Friday night?

Doubt it. Valuable drinking time lost! Mind you remember seeing a Bray player put Mark Skilling out the game for 2 years with a horrendous challenge against Killie in a friendly many years ago. Might go and seek revenge!

...Cork City apparently have an excellent social club..... :cheers3:

I was over there for Hibs pre-season Tour in 2005 and the Horseshoe Bar next to the ground was absolutely bouncing. Tremendous day and a great sing song with both sets of fans after the game with a live band in the Horseshoe playing a mix of Irish and Scottish Tunes.

According to the Cork boys we were the only other team's fans to get into the Turners Cross "Shed".

I was back over again to Cork last August for a stag and it's an amazing place. Must be one of my favourite cities. Rearden's Bar/Club seemed like the place to be on the Friday night...and had a pretty decent happy hour iirc.

Any scottish lads going via Cork will have a great time.
