brant grebner
The blame is limited to three groups only: 1970s light entertainment people and their enabling sidekicks swathes of bearded moslems from pishy dying northern English towns fat dead politicians who went to bugger merchant private schools but there's no cause and effect there oh no definitely no current cabinet members or royal consorts
thplinth
Industrial scale... Personally I think the authorities not only turned a blind eye to this they enabled it. Much like they did with Saville. Thwarting investigations and making sure complaints were ignored.

thplinth
How Thatcher’s Government Covered Up a VIP Pedophile Ring Now that most of the major figures are dead, the truth is emerging about the systematic sexual abuse of children by members of the British government. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/03/06/britain-s-horrific-vip-pedophile-cover-up.html
Robroysboy
Dunno how he thinks threatening to jail social workers will help protect kids Agree liability culture at its ugliest. Resources to achieve as many convictions as possible is the only answer. Surely over time people will realise that their crimes will be unmasked when the child reaches adulthood. My only fear is that the committed peado's may choose to silence their victim for ever e.g. Madeline McCann. Another truly awful event, how much blame can be attributed to the Portugal polices negligence ?
Wine bibber
Two threads running here at the same time same subject. It's not just the abuse many of the "disappeared "have been murdered .
redstevie007
My only fear is that the committed peado's may choose to silence their victim for ever e.g. Madeline McCann. And also those who seek to expose them. The 'establishment' are up to their necks in the Jill Dando murder and no doubt others.
thplinth
Theresa May: Child abuse in the UK runs far deeper than you know"We already know the trail will lead into our schools and hospitals, our churches, our youth clubs and many other institutions that should have been places of safety but instead became the setting for the most appalling abuse. However, what the country doesn’t yet appreciate is the true scale of that abuse."

Is this just a form of gerrymandering until all those fiddlers in the Lords die off? Edited March 16, 2015 by flumax

brant grebner
Any chance of revealing which current party leader is alleged to have used their position at an ITV franchise to remove and destroy 1990s video testimony from a man who claimed he was one of many victims of underage sexual abuse by a current MP and former cabinet minister? The sort of MP and former cabinet minister you could have a pint of real ale down the pub with. Maybe nipping out for a big beast of a cigar while constantly listening to some jazz. neilser
Cracking day for the UK establishment in the news. First 3 items on the 6 o'clock news: Duckenfield finally accepts responsibility for the Hillsborough deaths, police involved in covering up for paedo politician Cyril Smith and several judges are struck off for watching porn on their PCs. Meantime the SNP are apparently unfit to be involved in governing the UK to any extent because they want Scotland to get away from this pish...
