Sports Direct just announced profits are down 73%. What a shame.

Not a word about the previous post with 3 things that directly affect your club, instead you post stuff that has no impact on your club??  Oh and by the way on sports direct -  underlying pre-tax profits rose to £152.9m from £113.7m the year before.

@GavinMcCaffery The SFA will have to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to pursue UEFA licence case against Rangers after Ibrox lawyers' argument is upheld following preliminary hearing

From the Evening Times:

The Scottish Football Association will have to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport to pursue a case against Rangers for an alleged breach of rules over a UEFA licence.

The Glasgow club's legal team has successfully argued that the issues surrounding the licence for the 2011-12 season would need to be dealt with by the Swiss-based court under the terms of the five-way agreement, which allowed Rangers to continue playing in 2012.

Rangers refused to accept a notice of complaint issued in May by the SFA compliance officer which raised two charges relating to complying with UEFA rules, observing the principles of sportsmanship and "behaving towards the Scottish FA and other members with the utmost good faith".

An SFA statement read: "This preliminary issue raised by Rangers FC challenged the jurisdiction of the Scottish FA's Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal to hear the case, and contended that the notice of complaint must be determined by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

"Having received submissions on 26 June the Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal have issued a decision upholding the preliminary issue raised by the club.

"The Judicial Panel Disciplinary Tribunal proposes to continue consideration of the complaint until parties consider next steps and terms of reference for any remit to C

The 5 Way Agreement was agreed between the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Football Association, Scottish Football League, RFC 2012 PLC (in liquidation) AND Rangers Football Club Ltd.

It provided the pathway for “Rangers” to enter Scottish football after the decision of the SPL to refuse to approve the transfer of SPL share from oldco Rangers to newco Rangers. The 5-way Agreement smoothed the path of Rangers to SFA membership.

Despite it being covered and discussed at great length in the press, on radio and TV, and in blogs and message boards, the terms of the Agreement have never been published. On assumes that commercial confidentiality is offered as a reason for this. Of course there are confidential details – but the impression has been given that even the members of the football bodies – the clubs – have not seen the terms.

For the good of the game lets move on. We should be celebrating 4 teams still in Europe.

Some top work by King today.

Mike knows the score and so do the Huns.

So what's the deal? Who has the rights it hasn't been published anywhere as it was out of court.

The judge says Rangers will be picking up Sport Directs legal bills though.

EDIT: Wait is sports direct still entitled to get money from sales as well?

This seems a very lopsided "settlement", was King just playing brinkmanship and blinked before it went to court?

Ok seems thplinth was right about Ashley and King. Mike Ashley get's all his legal fees paid and gets to keep his deal as well. Had to go and look at the actual judges words as Chris McLauchlin  is equivocating in his tweets for some reason.

£500,000 of legal fees King and Murray have to stump up, they were the named people in the court document.

"

The judge said Rangers had accepted claims made by SDI bosses.

He said Rangers and SDI were negotiating another deal.

"You are going to get your new contract with Rangers,'' he told lawyers representing SDI."

Also talk of a secret £3million pay out too.

Wait, so apparently they paid Ashley 3 million to change to this deal which they have just lost another half a million disputing. On top of that they paid Ashley 27p for his shares valued independently by the takeover panel at 20p.

Wow it's a whole new level. And rangers fans continue to laugh at my club for being in a lower league. Go on big mike.

Chris is a died in the wool blue nose who can't bring himself to tell the truth regarding sevco.

One of the best parts of it is the MSM acclaimed what sterling work that cunt King had pulled off last year ridding the place of big bad Mike.

£3m and half a million quid in legal bills is some ‘defeat’ Mike has suffered right enough.

Hilarious.

To be fair they have made Ashley have to match the other offer.

Yes but I wonder how good for rangers that offer is if Ashley spent half a million for the right to have it!! 🤣

Rangers spent £500,000 on the right for him to have it, Judge said the club bosses were to pick up the tab.
