Kenny Mcintyre sounds like someone presenting an Old Firm Stuff programme on Clyde 1 and perhaps believes he is.

Throwing this one out there for the boards bears fans.

Did van Bronckhorst actually want to sign Davies and Yilmaz or did someone at Rangers go over his head and sign them without his consent ?

7 summer signings and none of the started last night (albeit Lawrence and Souttar are injured) doesn't give the impression that he wasn't fully on board with the recruitment.  With the number of already injury prone players we have (Helander, Jack, Roofe) the Souttar signing was a strange one.  Colak and Lawrence have been good, Tillman in flashes and has potential.  Yilmaz and Davies have barely kicked a ball and Matondo looks like he's won a competition.  There was a lot of positivity around the signings but it has quickly disappeared.  I kind of get Yilmaz not being able to play as Barasic has been one of our better performers so far but Davies surely has to offer more than Sands at the back.  It's all a bit strange.

First decent set of accounts in about 20 years.  Turnover around £88M and operating profit of £5.8m.  Includes the Patterson sale and EL run but not Bassey or Aribo so would hope next year would be similarly positive (with CL money also).

£6M settlement to Sports Direct so hopefully that's done once and for all and £14.3M repaid to investors. Finally look to be heading in the right direction (off the pitch).

Pleas keep any banter for your banter thread.  This is a serious thread mainly containing fantasy, misinformation and unfulfilled wishes around Rangers finances.

By all accounts QPR manager Michael Bales (Gerrard's assistant at Rangers) is being lined up to take the job.

Not sure how I feel about that.  He's long been touted as the brains behind Gerrard's time at Rangers and even when they were all still here a lot of fans had him earmarked as Gerrard's successor.  He's done relatively well with QPR but he's quite inexperienced in terms of first team management so there's a degree of risk.  That said he knows the majority of the players and was involved in (eventually) getting a tune out of them the last time so might be able to hit the round running in that respect.

Whoever it is I'd say some deadwood needs clearing out or perhaps ones whose heart is no longer there - Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos. Cash in and get some hungry and eager players in with a point to prove.
