No doubt in my mind at all that this is the brainchild of that cheeto faced wanker. 

UEFA need to stand absolutely four square on this and not give an inch. Mike Mulraney needs to resign as chair of FIFA's finance committee given the SFA's statement

UEFA may look like the good guys now but they also love a pound note and so I'm not ruling out the possibility of their boycott threat being withdrawn in exchange for a bigger slice of the action plus some other favours. Let's face it they have by far the most leverage of all the confederations.

Mulraney resigning is a nice idea. Not holding my breath though, I'll believe it though when I see it.

This doesn’t leave much room for manoeuvre.

As a result of today’s discussion, no UEFA national teams will participate in any FIFA competition for so long as these proposals remain alive, unless this proposal has been abandoned in its entirety and binding assurances have been given that FIFA will never again open its governance or competitions to private ownership.
 

I agree that UEFA are hardly a coalition of virtuous individuals, but it’s refreshing that a stand is actually being taken against this blatant greed . Pity this doesn’t happen more often in the world.

Fifa scraps controversial World Cup investment plan

Fifa president Gianni Infantino says he has scrapped the controversial plan to sell off stakes in the governing body's major competitions, following widespread opposition.

Infantino said it had become clear the project had "created divisions" that are "no longer in the interest" of its original objective.

The Swiss added: "As a result, this proposal will not proceed."

Infantino, 56, is now under immense pressure as he seeks re-election for a fourth term as president at the Fifa Congress in March.

He said he now intends to "bring all interested parties back together" in the "spirit of shared interest" in football.

FIFA whistleblowers say that Infantino had his eyes on a $30 million salary plus bonuses for leading this new FIFA enterprise AND that FIFA sponsors have been contacting executives saying they are alarmed at this weeks revelations

Think it's more of a case whether the bald crook ends up in prison rather than whether he says as head of FIFA

Going by the statements from UEFA and CONCACAF it looks as though they are making that a prime issue and that simply replacing Infantino won't be enough 

You would have thought after the last investigation by the FBI etc that regulations and safeguards would already be in place

However after googling it seems that achieved the square root of fuck all 

There are calls for the European commission to get involved in the restructuring of FIFA however i doubt UEFA would want to go down that line as their history of corruption is well known

UEFA have been outstanding through all of this, it's clear that we need to get Infantino out the last thing we need or football needs is the sex offender in the Whitehouse getting anywhere near our game. 
FIFA needs restructured to make sure this can never happen again.

Watching lunchtime news. Welsh FA and English FA both withdraw support from Infantino. Seemingly, no word from SFA! Why not, given they signed up to UEFA boycott.

Why have Scotland not come out and said that there is no way we would back Infantino’s re election ?
